Innovate UK Funding• Large collaborative R and D, and feasibility studies
competitions- Around £2.5m to £10m each e.g. Food composition
reducing salt, sugar, fat launching soon
• SMART awards- Grant scheme which offers funding to pre-start-ups,
start-ups and SMEs (50-250 employees) to engage in R&D projects in science, engineering and technology- Proof of market, proof of concept or development of
prototype- UK only, grants range from £25k to £250k, match
funding, competitive process
Innovation vouchers• Vouchers worth up to £5k • For micro, start-ups or SMEs• Used to hire an expert to get advice on a novel
idea, or help with design to improve your business or managing your IP
• Can’t be used for equipment or software, staff training, marketing collateral
• Vouchers awarded 4 times a year, 100 available at each round
