PENSACOLA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

Pensacola Christian College’s path started in 1974 with one building, twelve majors, and 100 students. Back then, our goal was to train men and women for a life spent serving Christ.

That’s still our goal today: challenging, equipping, and nurturing students so they’re ready for a life full of accomplishment for Christ. PCC is priced affordably and placed in beautiful Pensacola, Florida, on a campus ideal for learning, growing, and fun—a campus ideal for life.

Last year, over 4,500 students took their next steps at PCC. As you flip through these pages, you’ll start to find out why.

a path a journey an adventure

Your next step to college will start you on

Guest speaker Pastor Ernie Merritt shares the truths of God’s Word in chapel.

Hear truths in chapel that you’ll never forget. (It’s what many of our 20,000+ alumni say they miss the most.)

Learn and grow as Pastor McBride shares God’s Word at Campus Church.

Find yourself thinking, “I never realized that!” in Bible classes each semester—starting with Old and New Testament surveys and a course on biblical creationism and apologetics.

Even in busy weeks, come to God through praise and prayer with groups that meet in your residence hall. And on Monday nights, hear the needs of visiting missionaries (about 20 each year) in Mission Prayer Band.

You walk with God one step at a time, one day at a time. Make it easier to take those right steps every day, starting in college.

At PCC your next step will draw you

closer to God each day

People are waiting for you to share Christ’s love. Children, teens, adults, and the elderly—they all need Christ. You can be the one to reach them.

Tell children about the gift of salvation in Bible club or see their huge smiles when you help with the puppet ministry. Show troubled teens how much God still loves them with Christian Service groups at the Juvenile Justice Center. Visit nursing home residents and give encouragement and love that makes them feel that they are not forgotten.

You never know how much taking even a few hours to serve can change an eternity. And at PCC, you don’t have to go alone or struggle to find the type of ministry you’re best at. You’ll have over 70 different types of ministry opportunities. Are you ready?

Your next step will inspire you to be

committed to serve Christ

Hannah M. and friends spend a Saturday morning at the neighborhood Bible club.

Studio Art major Bekah W. gets direction from Mr. Jekel in Advanced Painting.

Do you know your calling? Even if you don’t, you can get an education that helps you find it, then prepares you to follow it. (It’s the kind of education PCC has given for more than 40 years.)

Learn from dedicated, supportive Christian faculty who see teaching as their ministry. Grow academically in an atmosphere that points you to Christ. Accomplish things you never thought you could, no matter your field.

You could treat patients as a nursing student, create a campaign as an advertising major, or teach in an elementary or high school classroom for a semester as an education major.

You have 58 majors and 32 minors to choose from, but your degree won’t be the real prize. Your real prize will be leaving college prepared for what’s next.

95% of PCC alumni are employed or in grad school within 1 year.*

Your next step will make you

ready to begin your career

*Based on 2015–2017 alumni survey respondents

Your next step will help you

start your life without college debtImagine paying off student loans every month for 21 years after college graduation. (U.S. News and World Report says that’s how long it takes for the average graduate with a bachelor’s degree.†)

Now imagine never having to make a single student loan payment ever. Think of being done paying for college weeks before you even graduate.

Over 75% of alumni graduate with no debt. Tuition, room and board here is only $4,778/semester,* whether you come from Florida or across the country. In fact, PCC’s tuition is 45% less than at other leading Christian colleges.

Then there’s an offer for free tuition, room and board ($9,556 value) your fourth year** and available on-campus work and scholarships.

**Tuition, room & board only; room & board may be taxable. Open only to U.S. and Canadian citizens or U.S. permanent residents.

Management major Allison D. graduates without college debt.

Friends pose for a snapshot before the 2017 Missions Run to raise money for Bibles in Papua New Guinea.

When you dive into college life, you’ll discover the great times waiting for you.

Break a tie in overtime for the PCC Eagles. Or hear the audience’s laughter and know tonight’s performance will be the best yet. See your team’s invention beat out the others at the annual Engineering Competition.

There’s always something going on around campus—concerts, recitals, competi-tions, games, performances, portfolio readings, and even indoor rock climbing and surfing.

What about off campus? You can watch dolphins glide through the water right next to your boat on an outing, tour a local alligator farm, canoe along the Blackwater River, explore historic downtown Pensacola, or go to a restaurant with an ocean view. Sugar-white-sand Pensacola Beach is only about 30 minutes away.

Your next step will lead you to

memories you’ll never want to forget

For the best friendships, start with the best foundation: Christ.

You can find friends at PCC from every state and 54 countries. They’ll make things like grabbing a coffee at the Common Grounds Café, studying for a test, or going to the beach more fun.

But more than that, you can find friends who’ll encourage and challenge you, who’ll help you up if you fall—even if it’s just off a paddleboard at West Campus.

What’s West Campus? It’s PCC property on Perdido Bay where you can go to kayak, sail, picnic, or (of course) paddleboard.

Your next step will create

friendships that make you better

Amanda B. from S. Dakota and Olivia A. from Missouri soak up the sunshine at West Campus.

Why do

Freshmen say they picked PCC?

What do

Seniors say about their majors?

I believe that PCC has thoroughly pre-pared me to be a teacher in today’s society. The education classes at PCC not only prepare us teachers to reach students academically, but to also reach students spiritually. Stu-dents everywhere are being taught that there is no such thing as right or wrong and that God does not even exist. One of my passions is to teach my future students what it means to have a biblical worldview—to make every decision based on God’s Word.

Jenn JohnsonEnglish Education

God has used my four years at PCC in ways that I couldn’t have imagined when I first stepped onto campus. As a youth ministries major, I knew I would be learning how to effec-tively study Scripture and apply it to ministry, but I didn’t realize just how much I would learn to understand and appreciate God’s Word and how it should change everything. In addi-tion to classes, there are so many op-portunities to get involved and serve on and off this campus that have helped to shape me into who I am today, and I will forever be grateful for my time here.

Bobby SmithYouth Ministries

Through instructors, classes, social activities, Christian service oppor-tunities, and other programs I have been involved in while at PCC, I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience as well as the confidence that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” The music classes have prepared me not only in music theory, composition, and performance, but also in understand-ing, defending, and sharing a biblical philosophy of music with others.
