JOB OPENING We are in need of one or two people to take care of garbage pick-up rounds each night of the picnic (5pm-10pm), and for cleanup (11/11:30pm – 1:30am or completion) each night after the picnic closes – Frida and Saturday. Because this is an ugly job, and because the hours are so late, there is a monetary stipend attached to the work. Please call the rectory with any questions.

Pentecost Sunday / Tenth Week in Ordinary Time
WITH PARISH SYMPATHY Our prayers are requested for Peter Chropowicki whose Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 5; and for John Sarti whose Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11. May our Lord embrace them in His eternal love and peace, and give His comfort and consolation to their families and friends. We offer them our parish sympathy.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM We welcome to the Church Luke James Soy who was baptized Sunday, June 2. As he received his new life in Christ in the Sacrament of Baptism, may Our Lord fill him with many graces and blessings all through his Christian life. We offer our parish congratulations and prayerful best wishes to him and his family on this happy occasion!
There will be NO GIFT CERTIFICATES on Thursday, June 13. The next sale will be on the summer schedule beginning with Wednesday, June 26, from 4:00-5:00 pm in the Rectory.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PICTURES are available for pick-up in the parish office during ordinary hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
FATHER’S DAY If you wish to remember your father, living or deceased, please fill out the INTENTION envelope in your packet and return it by June 13, before any of the Masses the weekend of June 15-16, so that our Fathers can be remembered at those Masses. Those who may be visitors, or who might have lost your envelope, may mark a plain envelope with “Father’s Day Intention” and list their names.
PICNIC NEWS AND NOTES THEME BASKETS A very popular stand at our yearly picnic are the theme baskets. We ask anyone who is planning to donate one to please call Carol Schultz at 570-883-9814 or Linda Dzieciol at 570-262-2462 if you need assistance with your basket, need help with an idea, or need a basket picked up.
FLEA MARKET items are being accepted. We ask that you please place your items inside Sacred Heart Hall and if possible, take them to the upper level; if not, leave them inside the door. If left outside, they get ruined with inclement weather (and we’ve had a lot of that this spring!!). The doors are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday and from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays. Remember that we DO NOT accept
computers, electronics, plush animals, clothing or shoes!!!
