There is a sense of unity this day as we celebrate our identity as members of the Body of Christ. Unity is supported by peace and forgiveness, both of which the Holy Spirit provided for the apostles. Jesus said, “Peace be with you”, in other words, “the Holy Spirit will overcome your fears so that you may witness the Good News. Jesus also gave the apostles the power to forgive. As you eat the cake as family, discuss how to use the gifts of the Spirit to share the Good News of Jesus. Make a fruit salad to symbolize the Fruits of the Spirithave members of the family share how they can demonstrate each of the fruits of the spirit in daily life.
