The Right Man for the Job• The apostles were not putting
down deacons and deaconesses by separating responsibilities. They were recognizing calling and gifting and sharing the load of ministry.
The Right Man for the Job• These deacons were also very
active in ministry of the word as seen in Stephen.• 8“And Stephen, full of faith
and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.”

resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.”• 15 “And all who sat in the
council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.”
