PeopleSoft Portal Sign In
Introduction
The first time you log into PeopleSoft, you will be required to change the
Password you were assigned. The new password must be at least 8 characters
long and include 2 numbers. For example: passwrd12
PeopleSoft uses permission lists that are attached to User IDs. Your assigned
User ID is setup based on your role and the functions you perform in PeopleSoft.
You are granted access to certain menus and submenus. Your User ID is
attached to your name and what actions you have preformed at any time. This is
helpful if you run into issues and require assistance from the Help Desk.
Assumptions
You have completed and submitted a Security Access Request form.
You have been assigned a User ID and Password.

Procedure
Every task you perform in PeopleSoft is attached to your User ID. Your personal
information is attached to your User ID as well. It is Howard University’s policy
not to give anyone your PeopleSoft User ID and/or Password. This is not only for
audit reasons, but to protect your personal information. You are able to view
and change your personal information when signed in to PeopleSoft. If you give a
co-worker your User ID and Password, they will have access to all of your
personal information.

From your desktop, click the Internet Explorer icon or click the Start menu > All Programs
> Internet Explorer.
Verify or type the address: https://huleads.howard.edu/ in the Address bar.

You will be assigned a PeopleSoft User ID and Password.
Enter the desired information into the field. Enter "essuser".

You will be assigned a temporary password to enter.
Enter the desired information into the field. Enter "2fun2day".

Your temporary password must be changed. Enter your assigned password.
Enter the desired information into the *Current Password field. Enter "test7728".

Enter a new password that you can remember.
The new password must be at least 8 characters long and have 2 numbers.
