Pepper | Presentation DocumentThe Games For Change Challenge 2013
Game Description Genre: Point-and-Click Adventure with Minigames.
Pepper may be only eight years old, but she knows what she wants: to play Papageno in the school theatre adaptation of Mozart's Magic Flute! Sadly, her new teacher doesn't like the gender reversal. Will she get the part in the end?
With this game we aim to fight discrimination and discuss adult themes of gender and oppression through the eyes of a child. Because both theatre and gender are practiced and performed, their intersection will allow us to reveal these structures to the players in simple and metaphorical ways.
Target Group The game is aimed at children between 8 and 10 years, although anyone with a heart should be able to warm up to Pepper and her dreams.
Platform HTML 5, playable in web browser on any computer, conversion for tablets possible.
