Similar in tone to last year’s“James Cameron’s Story of Science Fic-tion,” the program has Roth speaking tothe practitioners of the craft, includingStephen King, Quentin Tarantino, RobZombie, Robert Englund, Linda Blair,Tippi Hedren, Greg Nicotero, Jamie LeeCurtis and John Landis, to reveal wheretheir ideas come from and what keepsfans coming back for more.“I think that what happens is some-

seven hourlong episodes are “Demons,”“Killer Creatures,” “Ghost Stories,”“Vampires,” a two-parter on “Slashers,”and in Sunday’s opener, “Zombies,” inwhich Roth posits that George A.Romero’s 1968 cult classic “Night of theLiving Dead” created the rules by whichall other zombie tales were told.A favorite moment for Roth came in
the “Ghost Stories” episode, when he gotto ask King how he felt about “The Shin-ing,” Stanley Kubrick’s iconic 1980 hor-ror tale based on King’s novel of the samename.“He was like, ‘It’s like a beautiful

that was why he didn’t like the movie. Hefelt he didn’t go from A to B. He thoughthe started at crazy, which is like such aninteresting perspective. But he still said ...it was a very beautiful-looking film. Butthat was the fun with this, was I finallygot to sit down and ask him, ‘What’s yourproblem with ”The Shining“?’ It’s great.”

Mayor Davis Announces Time CapsuleProject for City’s 150th Anniversary
Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the City of Bayonne is seek-ing objects for a time capsule in honor of the City’s 150th anniver-sary. Mayor Davis said, “In 2019, the City of Bayonne will becelebrating its 150th anniversary. Back in March 1869, the NewJersey Legislature approved the Township of Bayonne’s decisionto transform itself into the City of Bayonne. During the comingmonths, we will be doing various things to celebrate and appreciateBayonne.” Mayor Davis continued, “One of our projects for Bayonne 150will be a time capsule that will represent Bayonne’s present to itsfuture.” A time capsule is a container that holds objects that reflectwhat is important to the people at a given point in time. MayorDavis explained, “People in the future will open that time capsuleto learn what the people of Bayonne thought represented us in 2018and 2019. At some point in the second half of 2019, the time cap-sule will be sealed and stored, with instructions to open it in 2069when the City of Bayonne will celebrate its 200th anniversary.”Library Director JP Porcaro has volunteered the first floor of thelibrary as the drop-off site for objects that people would like con-sidered for the time capsule. Bayonne residents, schools, and or-
ganizations are invited to submit an object for pos-sible inclusion in the time capsule between now andthe end of June in 2019. Mayor Davis said, “Atsome point during the coming months, we will haveto make a decision about the size of the time capsulethat we are going to use. If we receive more sub-missions than we can fit into the time capsule, asmall committee will be appointed to make somedecisions about what should be included.” One of the traditions of time capsules is writing a letter to thepeople of the future. Mayor Davis announced, “I plan on placinga letter in the time capsule that will be addressed to the person whois mayor in 2069. That letter will reflect the growth we are expe-riencing today and our hopes for the future of Bayonne.” The celebration of Bayonne 150 will also include educationalprograms in the schools and cultural events in the community. “Wewill be making announcements about these events in the comingmonths,” Mayor Davis stated. Mayor Davis concluded, “We should be proud that we have a lotto celebrate about Bayonne today. Several new residential andcommercial buildings are under construction. Our population is in-creasing. We are making great progress. We hope that progresswill continue long after the time capsule is opened in 2069.”

YouTube’s ‘Hellthy Junk Food’ packsa lot of calories into short videos
The YouTube channel may be called “Hellthy Junk Food” but don’t expectto see recipes for a tofu Big Mac or quinoa doughnuts there.No, the ironically-titled channel of 5-10 minute videos hosted by JP Lam-
biase and his girlfriend Julia Goolia (aka Yarinsky) is basically a how-to onre-creating favorite and iconic junk foods with their own personal flair, be itthe four-pound McDonald’s hashbrown (complete with the golden-archedsleeve) or the giant Swiss roll (which checks in at a whopping 12,000 calo-ries). There are also unusual combinations such as the mac-and cheese-stuffed fried chicken and its evil twin, the fried-chicken-stuffed mac andcheese.For this, Lambiase envelops a piece of fried chicken in mac and cheese,
wraps the concoction in wax paper and freezes it overnight. The next morn-ing, he rolls it in egg and flour and deep-fries, bakes and then deep-fries itagain for extra crispiness. On screen, it looks incredible and both say it tastedeven better.“Very good combination,” Lambiase says, “Mac and cheese and fried
chicken, it just works. And at the end of the day nobody got sick, so that’simportant.”“We try to work off of different segments,” Yarinsky explains. “The thing-

$200 for an experience. So someone might go to a play or a theater andspend $200 ... . But when you truly love food and have a passion for it andyou want to experience something you never experienced before, that $200is worth it.”Lambiase and Yarinsky came to “Hellthy Junk Food” from drastically dif-
ferent backgrounds, he from mechanical engineering and fast food and shefrom radio advertising and fine dining, much of which comes into play intheir videos.“A lot of the stuff we’ve done has been engineered,” Lambiase explains.
“Different types of recipes or equipment we need or molds or stuff to createthe unknown has really utilized a lot of my background being able to createthis. Because cooking is a science and needs to be engineered in a properway to execute some of the stuff we’ve done.”

And I am referring to a classic by AFI(American Film Institute) standards,not Redford standards. Why do wewatch the classics? Me? Because, Iam vastly entertained by the beauti-ful directing, cinematography, writ-ing, great acting and above all ...storyline that I encounter. ‘West SideStory’ won 10 Academy Awards! Itdoesn’t need me to defend it. ... I justlove it ... and that is my only reasonfor respectfully not wanting to see anew version. With that said, he had
better buckle in and bring it. The new ‘Ben-Hur’needed to be renamed ‘Ben-Hurt,’ I wish himwell.”Considering that Redford created the SundanceFilm Festival and that many films are launchedfrom his platform, we respect his right to speakhis mind — after all, he was the Sundance Kid!Redford probably is the last male star created bythe movie studios during The Golden Age of Hol-lywood. He’s truly one of the last movie stars!
