Marius Meyer: CEO of SA Board for People Practices (SABPP)

Marius Meyer is CEO of SABPP, the professional body for HR practitioners and statutory Edu-

cation and Training Quality Assurance Body for HR in South Africa. He is responsible for the

quality assurance of 59 learning providers, as well as the HR accreditation of all universities in

South Africa. Marius facilitated training and consulting interventions for more than a 100

companies. He has been an HRD practitioner, consultant, academic and manager for the

last 20 years. Marius is registered as a Master HR Practitioner and Mentor with SABPP. He is an

advisory board member and head of research for the African Society for Training and Devel-

opment. Marius is the author of 22 books and 150 articles and has a passion for leadership,

strategy, governance, change management and people development. The latest output of

his team is the National HR Competency Model, as well as a full set of national HR standards,

the first set of national HR standards in the world.

Nico Grobbelaar: Group Executive – Human Resources at Novus Holdings

Nico‟s professional career spans over 29 years as a qualified Industrial Psychologist with exten-

sive human resources management experience in manufacturing related industries of South

Africa. As a dynamic trailblazer, Nico sits on various industry bodies including the Training

Council of the Printing Industries Federation of South Africa and Governing Body of Bellville

Hoërskool. He serves as an Executive Committee member of Printing SA‟s Western Cape

Chamber as well as on the board of trustees of 5 pension and/or provident funds. He serves as

external moderator on a number of subjects offered by CPUT and often acts as guest lecturer

on short courses offered by Wits Enterprise. His vision was instrumental in establishing the Novus

Academy acknowledged as the only Institute of Sectoral and Occupational Excellence

(ISOE) within the South African print industry. In 1999 Nico completed his MBA cum laude at

the University of Stellenbosch Business School.

Lele Mehlomakulu: CDWF – Candidate, Founder and MD of mPower

Lele holds a BSc Honours from Medunsa and a Masters in Business Leadership from UNISA.

She started work in the South African Police Services, in a division then known as the Institute

of Behavioural Science. Since then she has held various middle and senior level HR and HRD

positions in Finance and Retail sectors, the last being as Head of HR at Allan Gray. Lele

founded mPower People Solutions, a strategic human resources and organisational develop-

ment company. She is also a Director at Accelerate Cape Town, “a business think tank ad-

vancing sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the Cape Town City region”. She has

sat in various other Boards and Board Subcommittees. She is South Africa‟s first and currently

only Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (Candidate) available to host The Daring Way™

events and workshops. The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the

research of Dr. Brené Brown. Lele is also a Contributor of the book titled “The role of the Chief

Human Resources Officer: Perspectives, Challenges, Realities and Experiences”

Jacques van Rensburg: Chief Operations Officer— Red Management Consultants

Jacques van Rensburg is a highly experienced facilitator and trainer in the field of leader-

ship, management and professional development. Over the past fifteen years he has

helped companies achieve their strategic goals through training, coaching and facilitating

strategic interventions. He assumed the leadership role of Chief Operating Officer of Red

Management Consultants in 2011 with the purpose of growing and developing the compa-

ny. In the last few years he has focused his energy on helping companies achieve their
