    Location: Football Field

Description: The pylons in the end zone to this footballfield represent a coplanar. A coplanar is 3 or morepoints or 2 or more lines that lie within the same plane. There are an infinite number of points or lines that arecoplanar to each other.

    Name:Assini

    Location: Lowes

Description: The back side of the Lowe's sign inLatham represents a scalene triangle. A scalene

triangle is a triangle whose three sides are differentlengths. No matter what kind of triangle, its interiorangles add up to 180 degrees.

Reflection:This project was difficult, but also fun at thesame time. It was difficult for me to find the items in thefield, but it was also a fun challenge to try and findthem. I learned that geometry is all around us, justwaiting to be found.

    Location:outside my front door

Description:The veins of this leaf are a perfect exampleon congruent angles. Congruent angles are two anglesthat are the same measure. Congruent angles may liein different positions but they will still be congruent.

    Name:Barbieri

    Location: my backyard

Description:This smoker is an excellent example of atriangular prism. A triangular prism is a 3D object with 2identical ends and all flat sides. A triangular prism is atype of polyhedron.

Reflection:I learned that geometry is all around us andthat it is not just about math. It is natural and functional.

    Location: Drivway

Description: The rims of the car make an isoscelestriangle. An isosceles triangle has is a triangle with twocongruent sides. It also has two congruent angles.

    Name: David

    Location: Price Chppoer

Description:The paintings for the side walk make aparallelogram. A parallelogram is a four sided planerectilinear figure with opposite sides parallel. Theopposite sides will always be the same length.

Reflection:I learned that shapes are everywhere. Youcan find them in the most unexpected places.

    Location:My basement

Description: For Collinear Points, I chose my distortionpedal. It has three buttons in a row and in a straightline. Therefore I drew a straight line connecting allthree to make Collinear Points.

    Name:DeLutri

    Location:My Kitchen

Description: For a Hexagon, I chose one of the cupsfrom my cabinet. On the bottom it is in the shape of ahexagon. I then edited the photo to make it more clear

that it was a hexagon and submitted it as part of myproject.

Reflection:I learned that even everyday objects can begeometry shapes. I felt that this project really helpedme remember geometric terms such as Hexagons,Collinear Points, and Obtuse Angles (the terms that Ichose).

    Bonus

    Location:My Basement

Description: For my bonus on the project, Ifelt it was the easiest since it was my optionto choose my own geometric term. I thenchose the obtuse angle because of theshape of my guitar. Next I edited to photo Itook of my guitar to make it more clear that itwas an obtuse angle and submitted it as mybonus to the project.

    Location:Livingroom table

Description:This brown coffee table has shelfs thatcross through the main support, which illustratesintersecting planes. Intersecting planes are when twoplanes meet in a single line. An interseting fact is thattwo planes always intersect in a line as long as theyare not parallel.

    Name: Dott

    Location In my bedroom

Description: This Steelers license plate is an example

of a rectangle. As you can see, this is a parallelogramwith four right angles. An interesting fact about therectangle is that opposite sides are always parallel.

Reflection:One of the main things that I have learned isthat almost everything has a shape which we dontalways notice. The coffee table in my house is anexample of intersecting planes which I never noticedbefore. Since doing this project, hopefully i will takemore notice of the shapes that I see everyday.

    Bonus

    Location: my bedroom

Description:My bedroom door has a pannel of asquare within it. A square is a parallelogram withfour congruent sides and four right angles. All fourangles of in a square are always 90 degree rightangles.

    Location:living room

Description: The tubelight from my living roomrepresents a straight angle. Straight angle is an anglewith a measure equal to 180 degrees. Peoplesometimes say, "You did a complete 180 on that! Whatthey mean is that you changed your mind, or ideacompletely.

    Name: Duci

    Location:My friend's home

Description: One of my friend's fans represents anangle bisector. An angle bisector is A ray that divides

an angle into two equal parts. If a point lies on thebisector of an angle, then it is equally distant from thesides of the angle.

Reflection:I learned a lot from this project. I nevernoticed how many angles and lines are in my life.Without lines and angles, most things would'nt look thesame. This project was very fun and creative. I hope todo more projects like this, this year in geometry class.

    Bonus

    Location: brother's room

Description: This is my brother's tv cabinet doorwhich represents an acute angle. Acute angle isan angle less than 90 degrees but more than 0degrees. When we look at the letter V, we see anacute angle.

Description: These lines represent the intersection ofplanes. The intersection of two planes creates a line.Fact: Two planes cannot intersect in more than oneline.

    Name: Ellott

    Location:

Description:The outline of the roof of my houserepresents a trapezoid. A trapezoid is a quadrilateralwith exactly one pair of parallel sides, called bases. The non-parallel sides are legs. Fact: The parallelsides of the trapezoid are called bases and the non-parallel sides are call legs. But in an isosceles trianglethe legs are of equal length.

Reflection:This project has shown me that geometryplays a very important part in our everyday lives. Thereis geometry all around us!

Location:Parking lot of Clifton Country Mall

Description: The outline of the yield sign is an exampleof an equilateral triangle. An equilateral triangle is atriangle with three equal sides. Fact: Because it alsohas the property that all three interior angles are equal,it really the same figure as an equiangular triangle.
