The frequency of inspection and maintenance depends on the class and duty of the crane or hoist

2GEARBOX MH,CT,LT GEAR OIL LEVEL CHECK

i) Check Oil level & remove scale layer made above the lubrication oil topii)Top-up the required oil to meet oil level requirement

3 WHEELS CT / LT GREASE TOP-UP CHECK

i)Please check whether grease is in semi-liquid form or in solid formii)If solidify please replace the grease with new oneiii)If semi-liquid top-up with required quantity manual or thru grease nipple

4 PULLEYSBOTTOM BLOCK SHEAVE LUBRICATION

i)Please check whether sheaves are rotating smooth manually by hand or notii)If smooth than it`s okiii)If not smooth than please open all sheaves & repeat all instructions given in sr. no. 3

5 WIRE ROPE WIRE ROPE LUBRICATIONi)Please remove dust thru air blow pressure or dieselii)Apply cadmium compound lubricant manually in full length of wire rope

6 BRAKES MH,CT AND LT BRAKE SETTING

i)Please make free all thruster motors manually by pulling up & downii)Please release manually all dc/ac disc brakes thru handle 3/4 times within a range of hook motion approx 1mtr.

Ensure that current collector is mounted properly If not please correct it

Check for visual damage please replace/repair

Check the terminal point for the loose connections please tighten if required

CONTROL PANEL, TPN/ISOLATOR SWITCH, BREAKING RESISTANCE ETC.

Ensure panel is Dust free & moisture free if not remove dust & moisture

Check all termination & loose wire connections inside the panel after dust removing tighten if necessary

Earthing of control panel is not rusted or disconnected if yes please replace if necessary

4 MOTOR & BRAKESCheck the terminal point for the loose connections & lugs please tighten if required

Ensure there is no moisture/water inside terminal box if yes dryout it

5 PENDENT

Ensure pendent is dust free remove dust

Ensure water has not been entered into the pendant remove & start for dry out process

Ensure momentary push buttons are working properly. Also ensure after pressing it comes out to its original position if not replace & remove dust . Check connections

6 RADIO REMOTEEnsure dust free remove dust

Remote batteries are in good condition. These are not discharged replace / charge battery

7 LIMIT SWITCH Please check for the any physical damage for all motions If damaged replace it

full load test

During load test lift the rated load not higher than required to clear its supports and stop.Raise the load further about 1 mtr. above its support and stop.Lower the load about 300 mm and stop.Check drift/slippage of load during stopping.
