DAILY OBJECTIVE
RAPID REVIEW
• Find Your Match!!!.. You will each get a word or a definition you will have 5 minutes to find your MATCH. • Expectations:• You have to walk only.• Must only be at a whisper• Spread your self around the room. • Sit with partner when you think you have found
your match. • The room should have a BUZZ!! No louder• Best class will get 5 tickets a piece on Tuesday.
PERIODS
• Periods tell you the number of shells in an Atom.
GROUPS
• The groups tell us the number of electrons in the very last shell (valence)!!• This helps us determine how reactive an element
is.
REACTIVITY
• The very last group (18) has an outer shell that is full! This means it is not able to combine or react with other elements!!• Elements with the least number of electrons in
the outer shell are more likely to REACT or Bond with other elements.
MOST / LEAST
PUT IT ALL TOGETHER..
• Hydrogen (H) , Lithium (Li), Sodium (Na), Berellium (Be)
• 1. Line yourself up according to what it would look like on the periodic table• 2. Match the amount of shells with the correct element• 3. Match then valence electrons with the element. • 4. Which is the most/ least reactive?
DAILY ACTIVITY
• Create the Periodic Table and Make sure it Includes:• Metals, nonmetal, Metalloids• Periods and groups• Trend of Periods (show number of shells in each
