Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Fact Sheet and Registration Information
OVERVIEW Ivy Tech Community College is providing, free of charge to facilities, the five- (5) hour didactic portion of the PCA class. This class will be taught virtually using Zoom by an Ivy Tech CNA Program Director. After completion of the class, the candidate will perform the three (3) hours of skills training at their facility with qualified facility staff. DETAILS All virtual sessions must be delivered to a facility
o Facilities will need to have copies of the resource supplement and procedure card available for candidates (links will be provided) Facility administration, Director Of Nursing, or designee will register all class attendees online (individuals cannot register themselves
for this class) Facility is responsible for the three- (3) hour skills training at their facility Facility is responsible for all regulatory requirements of PCA candidates, including placement on registry once completed To register, please follow the registration links on the following pages by date and session.
o Step 1: Register each participant with all the information required. Once that is complete, the participant will receive a link to the meeting. (Since your meetings will be held at the facility in a central location, only one meeting link connection is necessary.)
o Step 2: Materials provided will be distributed, along with a sign-in sheet for all participants to sign and then email that sheet back to us at [email protected]
