The hype is real with Artificial Intelligence as was witnessed at the launch edition in 2018 which saw technology, business and government leaders come together for the first time to discuss Artificial Intelligence and its impact on businesses and government.

As Middle Eastern countries showing great vision try and shake off being called an oil-rich economy, they are fast placing their bets on futuristic technology solutions such as AI to safeguard themselves.

With the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence to reach $320 billion by 2030 as reported by PwC, it is being hailed as a game changer when it comes to driving economies and businesses.

A technology that was until very recent a distant dream is fast turning into reality to the extent that some businesses and governments can’t cope with it and risk losing out to their competitors. It is for this reason, we are witnessing heavy investments being made in Artificial Intelligence. Touted as the next frontier for businesses across the globe, Artificial Intelligence is right being applied to transform organizations and develop new revenue streams. It is also being used in real time to help make sense of big data and let businesses take decision for themselves through machine learning.

The Artificial Intelligence Summit within a year of its launch is being perceived as the platform for the key stakeholders to strategize and send a collective message about the impact of AI on businesses and government. Its success is seen as the region’s commitment towards utilizing it to improve the current ecosystem across all sectors. The question is If you are looking at gaining an edge over your peers, would you rather find out how Artificial Intelligence can help you do that or rather watch your business become obsolete?

AI the savior or the devil? That is raging debate across the globe and watch people who drive AI answer the question for you.
