For more than 40,000 years, Australian Aboriginals have usedthe didgeridoo to share their spiritual and cultural beliefs.

Produced from 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, thereverse of the 1/4oz gold coin depicts a struck designof an Australian playing the didgeridoo in an outbackbush setting.

The reverse of the 1oz 99.9% pure silver coin displaysa colourful outback scene with an Australian playing thedidgeridoo framed within a map shape of Australia.

The third coin in the unique Australian Map Shaped series, which showcasesnative Australian animals in their natural environment, features the kangaroo.

One of the most iconic symbols of Australia, the world-renowned kangaroo iswell adapted to hop great distances to find food and shelter, with the femaleof the species able to keep up with its mob by carrying its young in her pouch.

A classically struck design of a kangaroo in a sitting pose is set against acolourful sunset scene at Picnic Rocks, Tasmania. The inscription KANGAROOalso appears in the design with The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark andthe 2013 year-date.

Issued as legal tender of Australia, the obverse of the coin portrays theIan Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and themonetary denomination.
