TMBeginning with Sydney Opera House , Australia's premier performing arts centre, this masterpiece of late modern architecture is an iconic symbol of the harbour city, Sydney.

The 1/4oz coin struck from 99.99% pure gold depicts Sydney Opera House on the water's edge of the harbour. The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,000 of these coins.

The 1oz 99.9% pure silver coin portrays Sydney Opera House against a backdrop of colourful fireworks, framed within an outline of Australia. The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of these coins.

To commemorate the life of Ludwig Leichhardt (1813 – 1848), The Perth Mint has released this stunning 2oz silver proof coin with an extremely limited mintage of 2,013.

The Prussian-born explorer made significant expeditions of discovery in Australia during the colonial era. Well known for his 3,000 mile expedition from the Darling Downs to Port Essington in 1844, Leichhardt crossed territory previously unexplored by Europeans.

Leichhardt's detailed records of his explorations providedinformation for future European settlements.

Struck from 99.9% pure silver and issued as Australianlegal tender, the coin portrays Leichhardt against a map ofnorth-east Australia, with the route of his most famousexpedition indicated in red.
