Day 1: Perth – Pemberton (4 Hrs, 328 km) Take the South Western Highway towards Pemberton. Be sure to visit the Gloucester Tree lookout - an awe-inspiring 60 metres high. Overnight: Pemberton Day 2: Pemberton to Walpole / Denmark (2 Hrs, 186 km) Walpole is just an hour and a half down the road, so take it easy this morning with a lazy sleep-in. Stroll through Walpole’s town centre, before continue driving to Hilltop Road and deeper into the forest. On the way to Denmark, don’t miss the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk in the Walpole- Nornalup National Park - a walk trail suspended 40 metres above the forest floor. Surrounded by 20,000 hectares of towering trees, this is an exciting yet peaceful way to experience the magical southern forests. Overnight: Denmark Day 3: Denmark to Albany (40 mins, 50km) Travel back to Perth on the South Western Highway or continue on the journey to Albany. Denmark is a picturesque town where charming bridges and buildings nestle unobtrusively among leafy surroundings. Satisfy the hunger pangs with a quick visit to a local restaurant with great views, or picnic on the riverbank to soak up the town’s tranquil atmosphere. Journey to the port city of Albany which takes about half an hour. Albany is most famous for its whaling heritage. Visit the old whaling station - now transformed into a fascinating museum - for a brief but interesting lesson on the town’s history. There were so many places to explore and plenty of things to do but so little time! “ “We love Perth for its abundance of natural environment. With a car to freely get us around, there’s always a park, a beach or simply a nice spot where we can stop to find something interesting to see and do. We also enjoy visiting the local food producers, tasting and splurging on a variety of cheeses, chocolates, jams, nougats, nuts and lots more – a heavenly treat especially for the little one!“ BUNBURY “We were amazed with the vast land space, rows and rows of vineyards, cows/sheep pastures and long stretches of beaches in Perth. If not for the locals who were extremely child-friendly and accommodating, we would not have enjoyed our holiday as much. “ “My family’s most memorable moment in Perth would have to be the farm stay at Margaret River. The chance to get up close and personal to hand-feed many native Australian animals, ride on a tractor across the wide open farmland and stay in a farmhouse with a fireplace that we had to constantly feed wood to keep ourselves warm was the most lovely experience ever.” “My kids would say their stay at the Sunflower Animal Farm was the most unforgettable experience. They’d wake up eagerly each morning to greet the cows “Good morning” in the farm without even brushing their teeth! The farm provided buckets of feed for each kid and they spent hours every morning walking through the huge compound, petting every single animal. It was great for us adults, to be able to sit back and enjoy a cuppa and breathtaking views of the hills and greenery. “ “The trip to Perth was special as it was a totally relaxing and hassle- free one filled with fun moments for kids and adults alike, especially for us urbanised Singaporeans. The locals, individuals and shops alike, were extremely child-friendly. We get to do stuff that we hardly or never get to do in Singapore, like fruit picking and face to face feeding of animals. We went to the Jewel Caves and it was a first for us all to experience a cave tour. A great family bonding opportunity.” Sep 11 to Mar 12 For more information, contact any of the following Aussie Specialist travel agents today or check out singaporeair.com/australia or westernaustralia.com Participating Aussie Specialists: ASA Holidays (TA 1501) 6303 5318 • Chan Brothers Travel (TA109) 6212 9684 • CTC Travel (TA704) 6536 3345 • Diners World Travel (TA002) 6292 5522 • Dynasty Travel (TA00371) 6536 4966 • Euro-Asia Holidays (TA610) 6339 9133 • Farmosa Holidays (TA426) 6534 1133 • Five Stars Tours Pte.
