More than 70 million hectares of natural forest

One of the largest concentrations of Amazon rainforest in the

world, the 2nd country in Latin America and 9th in the world

Forest concessions for timber products are more than 7

million hectares and it could reach up to 20 million hectares

The IADB estimated good opportunities investment in

Peruvian forest sector represented on Forest Investment

Attractiveness Index. FONDEBOSQUE is found very

profitable forest businesses performing high profitable rates

from 40% to 300% of IRR

Since year 2008 performed 9.8% rate and on 2009, despite of international crisis it grew

at a 0.9% rate

Leading region growth because of economic policy stability and GDP growth: 8,7% -

2010

Peru reached Investment Grade according to Standard and Poor’s (BBB-), Moody’s

(Baa3) and Fitch Rating (BBB-) by year 2010

The World Bank ranking “Doing business 2011” placed Peru on 36 position compared to

other economies like Colombia (39), Chile (43), Venezuela (172) of 183 total economies,

this way Peru was considered best investment country of the region

FDI was over US$ 7 billion and exports were more than US$ 30 billion in year 2010. Solid

contribution of exports and investment will allow the country perform annual GDP growth

no less than 6% for next five years to come

Peru has signed several Bilateral Investment Treaties and Free Trade Agreements with

other economies such as the US, UE, China, Singapore and Canada for easing exports

supported by preferential access to most important markets

FONDEBOSQUE is an organization created by the Peruvian Government in year

2002 to promote forest development. During these years we have improved and

developed strategies for building entrepreneurial and management capacities for

forest entrepreneurships. Also developed and promoted reforestation programs

through high tech forest nurseries production, along Peruvian regions.

FONDEBOSQUE supports entrepreneurs by giving them technical assistance,

management support, business coaching and market access for their products and

services also encourages them to get organized and work together; by financing their

business plans and entrepreneurial activities, according to their investment needs so,

they may strengthen their business based on products from forest ecosystems. This

way we all pursue preserving nature and forest ecosystems according with

sustainable development

FONDEBOSQUE looks for linking forest entrepreneurs with the financial markets so

their business may become more competitive and be part of peruvian financial

system.

Industrias Acosta is a 20 years experienced forestry Peruvian company with

manufacturing facillities in Pucallpa City . Specialty manufacturer of high quality

standards wood products

Harvesting tropical woods from its forest concession and will manufacture finished

products: decking, flooring and decking tiles

- For international markets: 1 192 m3 of exotic hardwood per year for decking,

flooring and dimensional lumber

- For domestic market: 1 208 m3 per year of sawn wood

Purchases orders: from The United States, Italy, Spain and China demanding more

than 2 000 m3

Niche market and competitive prices:

- US$ 1,100 /m3 Incoterms FOB Callao port for European and American markets

- US$ 462/m3 for domestic market price will be set at

Strong sales growth over the next three years because of we already have

purchase orders from our customers and we can supply with at least 60% of current

demand.

Finance:

Forestry exploitation for 25 years cycle but also vertically integrated with wood

factory. Looking for a line of credit and may pay a loan between 7% - 9% annual

interest and a repayment period of 3 years and 10% income tax rate.

Investment

working capital: 25%

Assets and equipment 75 %: Caterpillar 518 skidder, a Torton log carrier truck, a

Caterpillar front loader CAT 950, a 40 tons river ship and specific machinery for

wood milling, finger joints, laminating and a Kiln drying facility.

Financial results show a NPV cash flow of $ 2 177 518 and IRR of

54%, reports a FNPV of $ 2 327 026 and FIRR of 91%, and

opportunity cost related of 11%.

Sustainability, our business

Forinvest is a company established in Madre de Dios, Perú under Peruvian law and under the promotional laws for the development of the Peruvian Amazon region. Forinvest is located in Iñapari districti, Tahuamanu province, border line with Brazil, beside the new inter-oceanic high way connecting the Pacific and the Atlantic The company will be processing up to 4 000 round m3 of Shihuahuaco (Dypterix Mycrantha) from 1 300 hectares per year. The company will export timber products with high added value to niche markets demanding high quality products produced under sustainability standards. This represents revenues up to US$ 2 652 592.

Niche markets: Europe and the U.S. The Chinese market is growing and is

showing some dynamism
