In the frame of Petro Rabigh Phase II Project Desias worked with John Zink Hamworthy Combustion in the construction and pre-commissioning phase of an incinerating unit for refining waste products. Petro Rabigh Phase II Project concerns the expansion of Petro Rabigh’s Refining and Chemical Plant, 150km north of Jeddah. The expansion project involves the construction of an aromatic complex and an ethylene cracker debottlenecking plant, aiming at increas- ing plant’s production. Desias team was involved in ensuring that the unit was built according to John Zink Ham- worthy Combustion design specifications and Petrofac project requirements, acting as the reference point for all the technical challenges, troubleshooting and coordination re- quired during this phase. Desias specialised personnel took care of: - Conveying specifications and requirements to local staff; - Document control and installation coordination; - Interfacing equipment provider companies with EPC contractor personnel; - Troubleshooting; - Directly solving small entity problems arising during installation.
