FEATURED FILLER METALS FOR MILD STEEL AND HYS.

Dual Shield PrimeDual Shield Prime is a non-copper-coated wire that reduces particle contamination to wire feeders, liners, torches, and contact tips. The result is trouble-free feeding, high-process stability, reduced consumption of wear parts, and superior welding properties. Combined with lower diffusible hydrogen, these properties add up increased productivity, lower welding costs, and high-quality welds.

FEATURED FILLER METALS FOR CREEP RESISTANT STEELS.

Wires: OK Autrod B2 SC | OK Autrod B3 SC

Developed and optimized to be used in combination with

OK Flux 10.65, ESAB’s new Autrod series of wires provides excellent

weldability and mechanical performances. The chemistries of the

two wires demonstrate extremely low tramp elements (P, As, Sb, Sn),

which typically results in an X-bar approximately 4 ppm.

OK Flux 10.65

OK Flux 10.65 for submerged arc welding consists of neutral

fluxes for multi-layer welding of unlimited plate thickness, and

active fluxes with more Si and Mn for porosity resistance,

improved bead appearance, and toughness in high-dilution

applications for single-pass or limited multi-layer welding.

Available from 25 kg (55 lb.) vacuum-sealed bags to 1,000 kg

(2,204 lb.) BigBag to suit all applications.

Ferrite Control.The main potential problem

when welding CrNi austenitic

stainless steels is hot cracking

which is a combination of

solidification cracking and low

ductility at around 1,000 ºC

(1,832 ºF). This hot cracking

can appear in craters, along

the weld bead center line,

form herringbone extensions

from the centerline crack,

or be very fine in the form

of microscopic fissures.

This cracking is suppressed

by having a small amount of

ferrite in the austenitic matrix.

Shield-Bright NiCrMo-3Shield-Bright stainless steel-cored wires are designed

to produce superior operability for all-positional welding

applications. Regardless of position, the weld deposit

will be flat, provided by the faster freezing slag. In having

a rutile based slag system, Shield-Bright wires always

operate in the spray transfer mode and can be used

at high currents and resulting in high deposition rates

with extremely low spatter levels.

Exaton Ni60A NiCrMo-3 solid wire with enhanced feedability and great arc stability thanks to a new wire coating technology developed for high demanding applications. The wire delivers spatter free and regular bead shape, consistent performance and high mechanical properties. The wire can also be offered with high cleanliness, optimized for hot wire TIG and mechanized TIG.

PACKAGING. ESAB’s innovative packaging options for SAW wire and flux are designed to ensure quality, reduce changeover time, and increase productivity.

BlockPac™ n With BlockPac, ESAB’s SAW flux is packed in a solid

block, instead of a traditional bag. The multilayer moisture-protection packaging keeps the flux dry during transportation and storage

n Ready to use and does not require re-drying

n Reduced risk of hydrogen-induced cracking

n Safe, dry storage in harsh climate conditions

n Unlimited shelf life as long as foil is not damaged

n OK Flux 10.62 classified to H4 when delivered in BlockPac

BigBagn Made of strong woven polypropylene material,

BigBag holds 1,000 kg (2,204 lb.) of flux and can be emptied in about one minute

n Re-closable discharge spout with a diameter of 150 mm (5.8 in.)

PACKAGING.

For a continuous, uninterrupted supply of welding wire, Marathon

Pacs can be set up so that when one empties, the next drum takes

over. Empty packages can be folded flat and recycled.

Marathon Pac Benefits:n Efficient handling

n Increased welding productivity

n Reduced downtime

n Process stability

n Improved weld quality

n Less equipment wear

n Lower wear part costs

n Greatly reduced waste material (only cardboard)

Marathon™ Pac

Many ESAB filler metals that are ideal for the petrochemical industry are available in our exclusive Marathon Pac. This bulk-supply packaging can cut down on spool changes and maintenance by nearly 95% – making it a key to optimizing efficiency and quality.
