PREVENTION OF BOILER FOULING IS BETTER THAN CORRECTIONAgglomeration coats convective tubes and boiler surfaces causing: • Increased heat rate (lower efficiency) • Lowered steam temperature • Choking off air supplies • Higher forced outage rate from: • Cyclone and/or Loop Seal pluggages • Inability to remove bed material

Fouling occur due to the low boiling point of many components and impuri-ties in the fuels being used many of which contain low boiling point phases causing "sticky ash". Up to now many of the solutions have been to clean fouling as it starts accu-mulating - this cleaning affects the performance of the boiler and it may not fix the problem. Aurora is a product that is added to the fuel, once at the boiler this product preferentially captures harmful alkalis forming compounds with much higher melting temperatures, which do not condense. These compounds do not form agglomerates and are easily removed with the ash. Aurora is typically added at a rate of between 0.5% to 2% of the fuel blend.

The TRACERCO™ TankGauge gives operators the complete picture and not just a single point measurement. The TRACERCO™ TankGauge is certified for use in hazardous areas.

For many years, accurate knowledge and confidence in levels of deposits within storage vessels has been a common problem throughout the oil and gas industry. Tracerco’s constant drive towards offering innovative solutions to its customers has led to the development of the TRACERCO™ TankGauge. The instrument is custom designed to fit particular processing conditions. There are no valves, no bridles, no stilling wells no heat tracing, no vents or drains. The TRACERCO™ TankGauge is installed at a convenient vessel outage. Tracerco’s worldwide network of experienced engineers will carry out testing and commissioning. The TRACERCO™ TankGauge gives operations the complete picture and not just a single point measurement.

There are no moving parts. The working elements are inserted into a dip pipe assembly, eliminating any possible contact with process materials. A narrow dip pipe holds a vertical array of low energy gamma emitters. The other dip pipe(s) holds a corresponding array ofgamma detectors. Each detector is matched to the gamma emitter in the same plane. The emitter directs radiation to be picked up by the detector through the fluid within the storage tank. Due to contents all having differ-ent densities, they attenuate the signal passing through them by different amounts.

BENEFITS OF USING COOPER'S SPLIT BEARINGS:- Ideal in trapped bearing applications and limited access locations. Cooper units are split in symmetrical halves, reason for which they can be replaced at a fraction of the time taken by conventional pillow block bearings.


- Significant reduction of your stock of bearings Cooper Bearings have such radial and axial capacities that they may be able to replace many different types of bearings with one type of Cooper Bearing - onsite bearing inventory stock can thus be reduced and simplified as only one type of bearing per shaft diameter would be needed.
