We have expe rienced both great discouragement a n d gre at Joy.

group. For a resistive field

France,

this is consider ed

a

tremendou s accomplishment. We

obtained

l e gal status

for the church with the gov ernment which sho uld facilitate

matters

for other

workers who will follow us. Twenty-two interns

joined

us d uring

our

time

in

France, of which

six

are

pl anning their re turn

to France. The se new workers

in

Poitiers still

stands

as

the

only work

from the C i r i s t i a n churches/

We

thank God f o r allowing u s

to have taken

part in these

ev ents. It seems

that

the work

in Po itiers is

at a

point of explos ive growth.

A

The family issue

struggle for all who

choose

to me but it de finately illus trates the d ifficulty

involved

fact she would've been ready to return

much sooner but acknowledged the need

staying until

the church

would b e

abl e

to

continue.

F o r

u s, the

separation

distance

fro m family

that

is

involved.

Then, the financial

crunch

came

as explained

in the

last up date a n d

later i n this

one

which just

added to

the strain already b e i n g experienced.

So,

for the be nefit of the family

we

decided to

return.

What will happen to The Chucrh

in

Poitiers?

We f e e l confident

that

it will continue to

g r o w .

T h e Hanson

family

(Ozark

Bible College ) have

been

working

with u s and have be en in

France fo r three

y e a r s so Mike is n o w c a p a b l e of t e a c h i n g a n d p r e a c h i n g in Fr ench. K a r e n

Richardson (Roanoke Bible Coll eg e) is also working with the church not to

mention the

oth e r

m e m b er s , tho s e w h o accepted

O u r a b s c e n c e

w i l l

b e n o t i c e d but just u n t i l others have f i l l e d our

s p o t s .

We
