In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2).of the section 11 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Central Government, after consulting the Medical Council of India, hereby makes the following furthèr amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act, namely: In the said Schedule-
a) against "Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) 1, after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for
Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)1, the following namely
shall be inserted,

"Doctor of Medicine (Physiology MD (Physiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur in respect of students being trained at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur on or after 2019).
Note: a. The recognition so granted shall be for a maximum period of 5 years from the date
of Notification upon which the Institute shall have to apply for renewal of recognition. b. Failure to seek timely renewal of recognjtion as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admission to the Postgraduate course.
