PhD Requirements in GERMANYMasters with 70% & above mandatory for PhD.

Unlike bachelors with exceptional academics will also be accepted.

Publications either national or international IETLS / TOEFL if required German Language at least basics Students will be provided min 1100€ to 1500€ per

month as stipend if the offer is selected for scholarship

Students are provided with 3years of visa and then if required it will be further extended according.

Working during Studies in Germany

Every student is allowed to work 90 full days or 180 half days every year.

If you want to work for more than the time specified you need to take an approval of the Employment agency and the Aliens Department.

If the students attends a language course or preparatory college then they need to take approval from the Aliens department and Employment agency and they can work lecture free time.

If you have an internship available from a company it counts as a normal work even if it is paid or unpaid and it will be subtracted from the 90 full days.

Social Insurance contributions & taxes

Every employee in Germany has to pay taxes, the amount depends on your income.

If the job earnings are 400€ per month then it is not required to pay taxes.

If the total earnings are less than 7,664€ per annum they will get back the taxes that have been paid at the end of the year if income tax returns are submitted to the tax authorities

All employees in Germany must make a contribution from their earnings to the state pension scheme with an amount of 9.95% of the income
