Site Context 02

02.3 Topography 02.4 Regional Access, InfrastructureThe site bordered with natural water and covered with vital green areas. The project site on the South linked to the river with a long waterfront. On the West there will be the port with all related services on the East with an open riverside passage. The whole riverside should be a Corniche - Promenade with an active landscape giving place for leisure activities. However the main parks are on the North side ( Phase 1 ) the development have to have a strong strategic landscape network providing pedestrian walk paths and isolations in the middle of the site. There are high voltage lines crossing the site considered in planning process.

Northern entrance zone. This is a reception area with water features, street furnitures, landscape. The public park will became an active green space with a network of parks, cafes, pathways, playgrounds. The new park will be on Phase 1 leading from the main road towards the main development part (Phase 2). The East road provides access to the Exhibition Hall and Museum, the Recreation Park and the Resting Residence Resort. The West side road connect the Entertainment Complex and the Marina. The car parks should be combined with intensive landscape.

the task is to design a pilgrimage center that in-cludes a plaza for 100.000 people, a 5000-seat ca-thedral basilica, a 3000-seat conference hall, an in-ternational conference center, a meditation center, a gallery, an administration building and some other buildings serving the pilgrims whose number is pre-dicted to rise up to one million in each triennial pil-grimage season (the record number of the last sea-son was nearly six hundred thousand).

Dolly houseWhat happens inside will be the core of living space.

2010

In a dense, urban core of Osaka row-houses, Ando inserted a simple, narrow con-crete rectangular residence. With spaces flanking an interior courtyard, there is an attempt to return the ‘contact with light, air, rain, and other natural elements’ to the Japanese life-style. “In addition to providing light and serving as the focal point of family life, this small court is a spatial entity that at-tempts to compensate for the reduced physi-cal space.” It attempts to reinstate a tradi-tional model using a modern vocabulary.

We have visited the real factory. Basically they had two buildings. one was very hot where steel was burned and came out. one where steel can be lami-nated in different scale, have bridge cranes run along the building. the red building which made from red-brick have a roof flying above in order to getting wind inside and the thick wall to isolate the high temperature. the order must have an wide expanse space to get enough room for laminate steel. front of this site where the office stay was separated from the factories by green fence. there were locker and rest room for employees, restaurant, and office.

look toward the riverside. Me linh square was the one of the famous place in Sai gon. the old statue which was demolished in the war was not the com-pletely solid, people can walk through that. that came to an idea for me to design the high-rise. the podium of building was set back to the tower, the of-fice tower was brought up in order to open the space below. people can walk through that, enjoy coffee lounge, get information centre, and find the gate to shopping mall. i call that is a transparence space where vision is unlimited.
