Shawe Scholarship Competition,which will award grants totaling $100,000 towinning law school students who prepare thebest argument to the United States SupremeCourt for reversing the recently affirmeddecision of the Delaware Chancery Court thatforces the sale of a highly profitable $500million+ company.Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick, (Ret)Senior Associate Judge of the New York StateCourt of Appeals, Justice Melvin Schweitzer,(Ret) New York State Supreme Court,Commercial Division, Professor AlanDershowitz (also legal counsel to ShirleyShawe), and Joseph D. These briefs will be judged firstby a group of experienced counsel from LateralLink Group, Inc. to narrow the field. The topgraded 25 briefs will then be ranked by thePanel, who will select the top three. The topthree contestants will prepare their arguments asif they were going before the United StatesSupreme Court. The three contestants willpresent their oral arguments to the Panel.
