Philosophie Personelle
Inspired by Edward Everett Horton and
Sandra Boynton
An encouraging word hardly heard in
Meeting after meeting of the agonizing kind
Justification enough not to partake
For if you fail after an earnest try
It may then feel like time to cry.
A different way is to respect one’s foibles
Let them become the ringer of life’s joy bells.
Look for the humor when in a dark situation,
A source of creativity and an end of frustration.
But if a temporary lull blocks finding joy
Another option is to search for a palliative toy
With which you want to lessen tension a notch
Then it’s time for Scotch when you botch.
