What You Need To Know
Double Island is a privately owned 46 acre island. Located one and a half kilometres
from the village of Palm Cove and 30 minutes drive north of Cairns. The Island is a
short 10 minute journey from the mainland by private launch.
Arrival is by private limousine from Cairns airport with island launch transfers
from Palm Cove. An exciting and alternative way to arrive is by private helicopter.
Experience the diverse beauty and splendour of this amazing land, fl ying over
stunning rainforest-clad mountains of the Great Divide and the wonders of the
Great Barrier Reef landing on our helipad. Your luggage will have been placed in
your villa prior to arrival.
Regular daily scheduled launch transfers enable guests to enjoy the benefi t of
seclusion without the burden of isolation.
Double Island’s highly experienced management team off ers a wide range of
professional services including, special Gala events, with entertainment and other
associated activities.

intimate meetings, catering for up to 50 people in a relaxed atmosphere.
Moon Deck
This idyllic location situated over the water boasts the most sensational views of the
majestic mountains of the Great Divide. The deck is the optimum choice for hosting
an amazing variety of special events overlooking the Coral Sea and beneath the
Southern Cross.
Coral Sea Restaurant & Long House Bar
With high ceilings and open sided architecture this room captures the surrounding
tropical ambiance and is a favourite for breakfasts and open-air presentations.

A popular lunch option is a romantic private beach picnic with a gourmet hamper
delivered to your own private sandy cove on the leeward side of Double Island.
Double Island Chefs source the best of local seafood, seasonal produce and some of
the fi nest pure Angus beef in Australia... from our very own farm, Mount Falcon, in
the Snowy Mountains.
