Preference is given to papers which make a substantial theoretical contribution, irrespective of the particular theoretical framework employed, but the submission of papers presenting new empirical data of general theoretical interest is also encouraged. One of the three issues of a volume is occasionally devoted to a particular theme. The editors welcome proposals for themes and offers to act as guest editors for thematic issues.
