Photo Shoot Analysis
By Lauren Whelan
Picture 1
Here is a medium shot up to her knees. I have made her look like this as it looks effective and I tried to match it to the genre of music magazine I want to do. I told her to not look like she's smiley and to look more serious so that's what she did. In this picture I done her hair and makeup as I wanted her to look a certain way for my magazine.
Picture 2
Here is a mid shot/long shot of my model sitting down, playing her guitar. I positioned her sitting down so I can get a different variety of shots. I made her pose with a prop (guitar) and made her look like she's playing the guitar. I done this because it will match my genre of music magazine.
Picture 3
Here is a mid-shot showing off her facial expressions. I like this shot as it shows her emotions. In this shot I also aimed a fan at her giving her hair more volume and making it look effective. I told her to do this pose so that I had a variety of different poses/pictures to choose from.
Picture 4
Here is a long shot of my model she is leaning onto the guitar. I choose her outfit for this as I wanted her to have more of a fashiony look. As I thought this leather jacket would mix in with my genre of magazine well. This could be the picture I put on my front cover of my magazine.
Picture 5
Here is a medium shot to show off her prominent features(hair and eyes). I told her to smiley but not fully this was because I wanted it to have an edgy look. I choose her outfit again and I done her hair and makeup is well as I knew what look I needed for my magazine.
Picture 6
Here is a medium shot I told her to pose like this with the guitar in the air to make the photo look more fun. I also done this so I could have a variety of different shots. Here I told her to pose and look like she was having fun.
Picture 7
Here is a long shot showing off her outfit and the guitar. Here I asked her to kneel/sit down on the floor with the guitar which allowed me to take the long shot more easily. I told her not to look into the camera and to smile slightly. This shot shows her outfit and the guitar and also her features.
Picture 8
Here is a close-up shot showing off her prominent features and facial expressions. Here I styled her hair and I told her where to put her hands so give her hair more volume. Here I kept her outfit looking quite plain and simple. Here she has eye contact with the camera.
Picture 9
Here is a mid shot this shot is a enjoyable shot so the audience reading my magazine will enjoy it. I also wanted her to look natural so I told her to look happy and laugh. Here we set up a hair dryer to blow her hair so this captures us doing this. I told her to pose like she is having fun also so I planned out what I wanted her to wear. I went for a simple look though (the outfit) so if I use it in my magazine it will go with more colours.
Picture 10
Here is a mid shot I have used this shot so I can see what she is wearing. I done her hair and makeup the way I wanted it for my magazine is well. I told her to pose the way she did as it looks really effective and it would be something that you would see in a magazine.
Picture 11
Here is a mid shot showing off her pose. I told her to pose like this as I wanted a variety of different poses for this photo shoot. So I could pick which ones look best. This photo shows off her features like her hair and face.
