Timeline to a Miracle

January 2006 - Bill Gannon contacts Jeff Magill of Special Olympics Basketball for advice on starting a

baseball league for special athletes. January 2006 - Bill Gannon is directed to Brian Damiani and Allan Corless, coaches for the Challenger

League. February 2006 - Northampton Baseball agrees to allow the Challenger League to use baseball fields

and the group joins SOPA. March 2007 - Joe Hand and Bill Gannon meet at a Park and Rec meeting and agree to explore

options for an accessible field. April 2007 - A meeting at the potential site is attended by Bill Gannon, Joe Hand, Ed Radlow and

Special Olympics Coaches to tour the site and agree to pursue building a Miracle Field. April 2007 - Bill Gannon reaches out at a Northampton Baseball meeting. Debbi Katz agrees to be

involved. May 2007 - Joe Hand enrolls the group as members of Miracle League. July 2007 - Group meetings continue and Ed Radlow agrees to present the idea to the

Northampton Park and Recreation Board meeting. Sept 2007 - June 2008- Howard Katz, Bill Benz, and Greg McCarthy join the group. - Non-profit status and incorporation filings are initiated. Gilmore and - Associates agree to draw up preliminary site plans. September 2008 - Presentation to Northampton Board of Supervisors who agree to support the project.

Pending site approval through proper channels, - Miracle League of Northampton Township PA will be granted land use at the

Northampton Municipal Park. November 2008 - Fund raising efforts initiated following official filing of 501C3 December 12, 2008 - Kick of Holiday Ice Cream Social held for kids, parents, and teachers of Special Needs

students. The event is a huge success. - Donations are accepted. “Buy a Brick” program is launched. Media coverage provided

by Bucks County Courier Times and KYW radio. January 30, 2009 - First fund raising event- “Pre-Season Social” at the Richboro Pub
