Technical Codes – the shot types will vary through my magazine pages. The main image on my front cover will be a medium close up shot at eye level. There will be multiple images on my contents page. I will have a close up shot of myself for an editorial column on the contents page. My double page spread image will be a long shot of four people. Lighting – The lighting in my photos will be high key lighting so that the images are all clear and easy to see. I could apply effects if I wanted a darker photo as this would give connotations of being rebellious. Post Production – I may include some effects on my Esme Quantrill 6094 1. My project is a rock magazine. I have chosen the title sabotage because the rock genre has a stereotype of being rebellious and that the people that fit within this stereotype can be quite bad, and disobedient. The definition of sabotage is to deliberately destroy, damage, or obstruct (something). This is what the rock genre did when it first appeared as teenagers who listened to rock became disobedient and fitted in with the stereotype.

I will be taking the photos for my own magazine. Technical Codes – the shot types will vary through my magazine

pages. The main image on my front cover will be a medium close up shot at

eye level. There will be multiple images on my contents page.I will have a close up shot of myself for an editorial column on the contents page.My double page spread image will be a long shot of four people. Lighting – The lighting in my photos will be high key lighting so that

the images are all clear and easy to see. I could apply effects if I wanted a darker photo as this would give connotations of being rebellious.

Post Production – I may include some effects on my photos for example distorts the colours slightly to make them darker. I may also include an outside glow on the images as this gives a nice effect on a background.

Reference images and ideas:

This is the image of inspiration for my magazine front cover. I think the use of tattoos and the aggressive facial expressions work well and give a really fit for purpose image as the person fits into the stereotypes associated to the genre of rock. The image also links to the cover line ‘the naked truth’ as he has not got a t-shirt on.

Casting:

Steve Kemp is potentially someone I could use for my front cover photo. He fits the classic stereotype of the rock genre as he has long hair and a beard he would also be a good person to use as he has tattoos on his arm he has a full sleeve tattoo. This would be a very fit for purpose person to use.

o Keir Speirs would also work well as he too fits the

conventions of the typical rock stereo type. (long hair and beard). Also he is a more reliable candidate as he is in school and therefore will be available more easily to take photos of.

o Ashley Russell would also be a good person to use in my photos as he fits the stereotype through the clothing that he wears.

Model requirements:

The stereotypical rock star would have long hair and probably facial hair. Most conventional rock bands wear quite casual clothing however some dress up such as ‘KISS’ and ‘SLIPKNOT’.

I would like my model to fit to the stereo type of having long hair and also facial hair as this gives the fit for purpose look. I would like them to wear quite casual clothing.

Wardrobe and Look:

Image = Band: You Me At Six The clothing I would like my model to wear will be quite a casual look

but also promote brands such as ‘Vans’ which fit in to the stereotype of the rock genre. I will ask my model to wear quite dark clothing such as black skinny jeans and a t-shirt.

My Source of inspiration is band such as ‘You Me at Six’ and ‘Paramore’ as they are quite casual in their wardrobes and therefore they are normal people that fans can aspire to be like unlike celebrities such as Niki Manaj as they are quite fake in their appearance.

I have been in contact with the people that I would like to use as a model for my magazine. I have shown them my magazine of inspiration so that they know what sort of thing I am looking to create. I have also been in contact to arrange when and where the photo shoot will take place.

Hair and Make up:

Short sides and long hair on top that can be tied into a bun as seen in this image. Is a popular hairstyle in the rock genre at the moment.

Two of my possible models have this hairstyle meaning that I can ask them to have their hair up or down. I will take photos that I require with both the up and down a style and then choose the best looking image.

Where:The shoot will take place in school so that I am able to use the photography back drops as I do not require a background.

When the shoot will take place:
