Photos From Previous Retreats Annual Westmoreland Retreat - October 14-16, 2016 Dear Westmorelanders, You are invited to attend the Annual Westmoreland Retreat, October 14-16, 2016, at Camp Wabanna in Edgewater, Maryland. Take a look at the schedule of activities on the next page. The retreat gives you the opportunity to: make new friendships and deepen existing ones, relax in the natural beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, test your daring on the giant swing, sing old favorites around the campfire, and more! Registration Fee. Thanks to generous underwriting from the general church budget and from church members, the low registration price is $50 per person over 2 years old for those staying overnight and $35 per person for Saturday only. Meals are included. Gifts to Support the Retreat. In addition to their registration fees, some Westmorelanders make additional voluntary contributions to offset the overall cost of the retreat. If you would like to support this church activity, your contributions are welcomed. Any gift above the per-person price is tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Registration. To sign up, complete the accompanying registration form by Sunday, October 2. Place your registration form in the offering plate, drop it off in the church office, or mail it to: Westmoreland Congregational UCC, Attention: Retreat Committee, 1 Westmoreland Circle, Bethesda, MD 20816. What to Bring. Overnight participants need to bring linens for twin-sized bed (sheets and blanket or sleeping bag); pillow; towels; toiletries. If you are a light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs and sleep mask. Bathing suit, water shoes, and beach towel for small beach and kayaking. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, camp stools, etc.

Facilities.

The sleeping rooms of Camp Wabanna Lodge are on the second level. Private family rooms are available. Limited single rooms are available -- most single guests will share a room with other single guests of the same gender. Shared women’s bathrooms and men’s bathrooms are in the hallway. There is one private shower for family use. Youth (6-12 grade) will stay in the dormitory with a large bunk room for boys and large bunk room for girls.

Confirmation Class. There will be special sessions for youth taking part in Confirmation Classes. Look for more information to follow.

Adult Sessions. * Look for more information about topics and leaders in church newsletter, on the webpage and other places.
