T The Philosophy
Development is sequential and evolves by building on previous skills. Provide a menu of educational and employment programs--youth make the choice based
on their goals, interests and readiness. Embed educational expectations and curriculum within employment training programs. Provide staff support and/or case management for all youth. Provide clear rules and develop groups guidelines and be consistent. Have and state high expectations; celebrate success. Incentive positive outcomes/behavior and pay wages for work training. Provide opportunities for youth leadership.
The philosopher Chardin said “ the Future belongs to those who can give the next generation a valid reason to hope.”
