PHOTOSHOP TOOLS USED
Before I could start designing my poster I took Polaroid photos of the main actress. Once they developed, I scanned them into my laptop.
First I created my background using the gradient tool. I decided that I wanted a linear fade because a black background would be too dark but a white background would be too bright.
I then created new layers and inserted text in each one using the text tool. I decided on a black font to make it stand out against the white. I also thought that it would work quite well with the black fade effect.
To instert my polaroid pictures I selected the ‘place’ option in the drop down menu in files.
To stick to the colour scheme I made my images black and white. I did this by clicking ‘convert to black and white’ in the enhance drop down menu.
I had only taken a Polaroid picture of one eye, however, it didn’t look right to have one eye on the poster. Therefore, I inserted the same photo of the eye and flipped it to give the appearance that it’s the other eye.
