Types of Assessments

Diagnostic: Assessment that gives information about student’s skills and/or knowledge before instruction takes place

Informal: Umbrella term for measures of student performance or understanding that are not standardized, usually feedback is quick

District Created Assessments

BCPS has created a number of assessments. In many cases they are optional, and your school will decide if you have to give them. EOY: End of Year Exam - Final ExamMOY: Middle of Year Exam- Midterm ExamLDC: Literacy Design Collaborative

Mini-units of study meant to complement curriculum

It is important to note that The District only has Midterm and Final Exams for Health, not PE.
