PIANO
Another Patterning FunSheet!
Cover up all the black keys and you have no way to find yourway around the piano keyboard!
However, to young childrenthe black and white keys may just seem like bunches ofblack and white keys!
Start on one end and “walk” along the top half of a paper keyboard where there are both white keys and black keys....
white key, black key, white key, black key, white key.....Ohh! Another white key!
Point out all these places where there are two white keys, thentalk about the pattern of two black keys with one white key in between each of them, followed by two white keys.....then three black keys with one white key in between each, followed by two white keys, etc.
SOOO, there is a pattern...two black keys standing together and three black keys standing together....and then it starts over!
These FunSheets have the children finding the two black keygroups or the three black key groups. You could also havethem find the bigger “2-3” black key groups.
