During the Renaissance artists began to show life as it really was… Then the

Reformation made the Art of the Renaissance even more diverse…

By the end of the period you will have: 1.Analyzed images of art that are Medieval,

Renaissance, Reformation and Counter Reformation.

2.grouped the images according to your own organizational system, and…

3.composed a thesis statement about the paintings.

• 5. What disagreements caused the Protestant Reformation and how did the Catholic Church Respond?

Picture Sort• Take a look at all of the pictures• Put them in any type of order or group

that you want in a PPT or on template• There is no wrong way to sort the

pictures… as long as you explain your choices

• You must have at least 2 categories and use at least 3 pictures

When you finish your “sorting”

Create a thesis statement in an effort to write an essay that shows your knowledge of your choices.

Your paintings will be your sources from which to support your thesis.

Once you’ve developed a thesis, you can find more paintings to support your cause
