The pure medical plastic is carefully selected to be skin friendly, contains no chemical additives or other contaminants (0% nickel). This makes it a little softer. Blomdahl earrings, made of pure medical plastic, are light, comfortable and, in general, durable. But because the posts, hooks & pendants are soft & they need to be handled carefully.

The fi rst time you put on & take off earrings with posts, you need to be extra careful so as not to bend the pins. Should the earring bend, it is better not to straighten it again. That way it retains its function.

How medical piercing works

Health care is the goalAdopting the latest, modern, aseptic techniques in the health care industry, Blomdahl’s products & piercing methods are safely designed to avoid the spreading of infections during procedures.Blomdahl piercing uses the most sterile method to provide protection to both the practitioner & the customer. The sterile jewellery is pre-mounted & completely protected in a sterile, disposable cassette within the piercing instrument. For every new piercing, a new cassette is used & the instrument never makes contact with the ear. This means piercing is hygienic & safe for the practitioner & customer.

Easy & safeThe unique piercing technique is completed in two steps. In the first step you aim the piercing jewellery at the marking for the ear piercing & squeeze the cassette together to grip hold of the earlobe. This locks the instrument onto the right area & prevents slippage. The second step is to complete the actual piercing as quickly as possible. Since aiming & squeezing is done at the same time, it is easy & safe.

Fast & gentleBlomdahl piercing allows for simultaneous piercing for both ears with two instruments to save time & minimize pain. This is especially helpful for children as only one instance of piercing is done & there is no chance of them changing their minds after piercing the first hole. The piercing procedure is the same regardless if one or both ears are done.

Piercing is done faster than a blood test. Each ear-piercing jewellery is pointed, sharp & strong so it is completed swiftly & safely. It ensures the smallest hole possible is made in the ear to avoid chances of infection. Each cassette is well covered & not visible to the customer.
