KINDNESS DOLL WORKSHOP
The Family Well Being Program would like to host
a Kindness Doll Workshop.
This workshop will be open to all adults and
children old enough to sew on their own. All
children must be accompanied by a grandma,
mom or auntie.
This workshop is 3 to 4 hours long and would be
held on a Saturday afternoon. If there is enough
interest we will book for late March or early April.
This workshop is free of charge and light
refreshments will be served.

WOMEN’S DRUM CIRCLE
The Family Well Being Program along with the
Ontario Women’s Association would like to
begin a Women’s drum group/circle in our
community.
This program would be held on Thursday
evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Family Well
Being office. If you do not have a hand drum
we will hold a drum making workshop to begin
the program.
It would be open to all females. All youth
under the age of 14 must be accompanied by
an adult to participate.

electricity, heating and household necessities, emergency
home repairs to assists members to remain in their homes
(heat, water etc.) Helps to avoid disconnections and eviction
from rental properties.
APPLICANTS: Ontario Works, ODSP and low income
households within the First Nation.
DISTRIBUTION: “First Come-First Served” based on
proof of low income and verifications of costs, heat, hydro,
repairs and current need of household necessities.

SUMMARY
The Consultation Coordinator will be responsible for
implementing and coordinating the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First
Nation’s Consultation & Engagement Process involving the
development of land and resources within Pikwakanagan and
throughout the unsurrendered Algonquin Traditional Territory.
The Consultation Coordinator will assist in researching, identifying, planning, developing, organizing and coordinating new and existing economic development initiatives, programs and services that en-hance and benefit the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation. The Consultation Coordinator will support member entrepreneurs by providing direction and assistance with the start-up and management of economic development business initiatives. BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree/Diploma related to Business Administration, Public Administration or Finance with a minimum of one year of work experience in project development from start to finish;
• OR Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of three years’ work experience in business/public administration and project development.
• A minimum of a valid class “G” driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Economic development projects and resources in Algonquin traditional territory including Pikwakanagan;
• Pikwakanagan’s approach and processes for consultation and engagement;
• Relevant Acts, legislation, regulations and guidelines, i.e. property and business;
• General accounting principles, marketing and business promotion strategies.
ABILITIES:
