I was very proud of our students. They put in so much work to prepare and it completely showed during the concerts. Well Done! *My Monthly lunch with the birthday kids. I really enjoy this deeper connecting time with them- getting to know them outside the classroom. Looking forward to 2016 Highlights. Dress for Winter Winter weather is arriving soon!  All

students go outside for recess unless the temperature falls to 0 or

-10 degrees wind chill. So it is important that children are

prepared for the cold weather. Snow boots, snow pants, warm jackets, mittens/gloves, scarves

and hats are all recommended for playing outdoors at recess

Operation Joy

9:05am-Doors open for only students having breakfast

9:15am- Doors open for all students to enter the school building

9:25am- School starts for all students

For the safety of all students, please do not drop your students off before 9:05am, especially with the cold weather quickly coming upon us.

All Visitors Entering The Building:

• Must receive a wrist band to wear visibly

• Must enter at the main entrance

KINDERGARTEN

Our Pike Lake Kindergarteners will be bussing to Pinewood for the parade.

If you have a kindergarten student and an older sibling that you will be taking home with

you,

be sure to sign in before the parade and get your wristband. After the parade, first go to

the North lot where the K buses will be to sign out your kindergarten student, then enter

Pinewood to pick up the older sibling.

This brings our grand total to 557,443 minutes read. The thermometer in the main lobby has been updated to reflect the achievement of our PW students.

Join us for a 3 week series called "Circle of Security"

Circle of Security is a relationship based intervention designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. When your child is more secure in relationship with you, he/she will also show greater self-esteem, better relationships with you and his/her peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively.

Come join us for a 4 week group, where you will watch the DVD-based curriculum and discuss it with other parents and a representative from "Natalis"- Anna Krull, MA, LPCC, LMFT, Doctoral Student

The group will be held on Thursday January 7,14 at 5:15pm and on January 21 at 5:30pm at Pinewood Elementaryduring Family Library Night.Dinner @ 5pm.Free! Join us!

We are looking for a few people to help on Wednesday, February 10th with Vision and Hearing Screening. No experience needed. Times slots available:

Family Ski night is back - Join us for our 2nd Family Ski Night of the season.  Sunday, January 17 2016 from 3:00 - 9:30pm.  Take advantage of these special rates on lift tickets and rental.  Registration deadline is noon on January, 15 2016.   Open to all district staff, families and friends.  For additional information and registration see link below
