How can I move apps into folders or onto another screen?
Create Folder1. Tap and hold one of the icons you want
to put in a folder until the icons jiggle.2. Once the Home screen icons jiggle, drag
one of the icons you want to insert into a folder onto another icon you want to include in the folder (see screenshot).
3. If desired, tap the text area to edit the name of the folder.4. Press the Home key when finished.

How to setup and access voicemail: T-Mobile
The personal greeting/voicemail greeting should transfer from the users Blackberry device onto the new corporate iPhone when switching from T-Mobile Blackberry to T-Mobile iPhone. Users will have to record a new greeting when switching from any other carrier to a T-Mobile iPhone.
Visual Voicemail (VVM)To set up Visual Voicemail the first time, follow these steps:
1. Check that you are connected to the T-Mobile network. You may not be able to set up VVM over Wi-Fi.
2. From the Home screen, tap Phone.3. Tap Voicemail.

Why can’t I send or receive E-Mails on my phone?
First Step: Try re-booting the device. To turn OFF, press and hold the Lock button for 5 seconds and slide icon to power OFF. To turn your device back ON, press and hold the Lock button.
Second Step: Verify an unapproved app as not been installed. See Why can’t I install my favorite app? Installing an unapproved app will disconnect your phone from corporate resources including E-Mail, Contacts, and your Calendar.
How to Force Device Check-InIf you download an unapproved app through Apple App Store, you will receive a Notification indicating the app is unapproved and E-Mail capabilities on the phone will be disabled.
1. Delete unapproved app (see Delete App section in User Guide).2. From the Home screen, tap MobileIron icon. 3. Select Settings in bottom right-hand corner. 4. Select Check for Updates.5. Select Force Device Check-In, then Check-In. Note: E-Mail capabilities should resume after completion of these steps.

Can I add my personal e-mail address to the phone?
Only a Piper E-Mail account can be allowed on corporate iPhones. Because it is a corporate device, the same compliance restrictions that prevent access to personal E-Mail on our work PC apply to your corporate iPhone.

How do I set-up a meeting requests and send invites?

Note: Once invitees have been selected, free/busy information will identify conflicts.

Why can’t I install my favorite app?
Dozens of Piper Jaffray approved applications are available from the Corporate App Store located in the “Apps@Work” app. These apps have undergone a certification process to ensure they are secure and meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
DO NOT INTALL APPS DIRECTLY FROM APPLE’S APP STORE
Installing an unapproved app will disconnect your phone from corporate resources including E-mail, Contacts, and your Calendar.
How to Force Device Check-InIf you download an unapproved app through Apple App Store, you will receive a Notification indicating the app is unapproved and e-mail capabilities on your phone will be disabled.

How do I get an app approved to download?
To request a new app for approval, please email [email protected]. The following factors will be considered when apps are reviewed:

Why can’t I get to certain websites on my phone?
Web browsing is filtered on your iPhone using the same content filters as those on corporate computers. User specific exceptions that may be in place on other Piper issued computers cannot be replicated on mobile devices.
Due to electronic communication archiving requirements, text messaging is currently only available for devices on Verizon and AT&T networks. This functionality must be approved by your manager and activated at the carrier level by the Data/Voice team.

Can I get other user’s E-Mail/contacts/calendar on my phone?
Mobile devices connect to the Piper E-Mail system through a Microsoft technology that allows only a single user’s account on each device.

Why can’t I listen to iTunes?
Corporate Apple IDs were created for each user based on a Piper E-Mail address. Due to Apple’s requirement of having a credit card associated with the iTunes account, access is not possible on corporate devices.

What happens if I break or lose my phone?
Start the process by submitting a Technology Request Service (TRS) form.
Because iPhones are significantly more expensive than Blackberry’s the following fee structure will be strictly enforced:
Replacement of 1st Broken Device: $80 Replacement of 2nd Broken Device: $80 Replacement of 3rd and all subsequent Broken Devices: $700

Is there a way to find my iPhone if it gets lost or stolen?
To protect your privacy, Piper Jaffray’s policy does not allow for the tracking of your phone. The Find My iPhone app is a function of Apple’s iCloud infrastructure which we have disabled as a data security measure. As a result, the Find My iPhone app will not function on corporate devices.

How do I get pictures off my phone?
1. Plug the phone into a computer using the charger/USB cable.Note: You may be prompted on your phone to trust the computer. Tap Trust.
2. From computer, select Open device to view files.3. Double-click Internal Storage.4. Double-click DCIM. 5. Pictures should be located in one (or more) of the folders
Due to data plan limitations, use as a hotspot is not permitted on corporate issued iPhones. If hotspot functionality is needed, please request a MiFi device via a Technology Request Service (TRS).

How do I get set-up for international travel?
For all international travel, please submit a Technology Request Service (TRS) form with travel dates and location. This is needed for data roaming and international calling to be turned on at the carrier level.

When can I upgrade my phone?
The current lifecycle plan is that devices may be replaced after two years. All phones will be refreshed every two years in a process similar to laptop and desktop refreshes. Upgrades outside of the cycle are not permitted.

How do I back-up the data on my phone?
The majority of the data available on the device (E-mail, Contacts, Calendar, WatchDox) is maintained in Piper Jaffray datacenters and is always available to be resynchronized to the device.
Two exceptions to this are photos and text messages. To transfer photos off your iPhone, see How do I get pictures off my phone? Unfortunately, text messages cannot be backed-up.
