Technical Specifications
• Clean the base wall surface and mark the lines asrequired for Anutone Strut SB10/CC10
• Mechanically fasten Anutone Strut SB10/CC10horizontally at 600mm centres with shims for levelling
• Brush apply Anutone Stick S7 spots on wall and friction fitSynth 5x10 rolls in the gap between SB10/CC10
• Mechanically fasten Anutone MAT or Pixel, long edgesvertical, on SB10/CC10 at 600mm centres
• Ensure panels are absolutely level to each other – this isvery important – use more shims, if necessary
• Finish taper edge joints with tape and jointing compoundto a smooth finish. Any putty work, for example on fastenerheads or nicks, must be done at this stage.
• There are two ways of blending/camouflaging the jointingcompound colour with the Anutone MAT or Pixel panel.(This is essential to prevent the bands and spots of colourgradation showing through thin wall coverings.)
Either pigment the jointing compound and/or putty to thegreyish colour of the Anutone MAT/Pixel or paint one coatof white primer after the jointing and/or putty is done.
• Use a light sander to ensure the substrate is super smoothand seamless. This is again very important as any defectsin substrate will mirror through surface wall covering.
• Clean the substrate thoroughly and mark the butt jointlines as required for surface material.
• If joint lines of surface material coincide with perf ofAnutone Pixel then blind the perf with jointing compoundand sand to smoothness. This is not necessary forAnutone MAT panel.
• Estimate and cut the surface material carefully – “measuretwice, cut once”. Cut 50-100mm more than required lengthand ensure pattern/weave/grain matching.
• Before cutting check for minor defects on wall coveringwhich must be cut out and removed.
• Spray or roller brush Anutone Stick W on the Pixel panel, thinly, evenly, entirely. Estimated consumption is 250g/m2.
• Similarly, spray or roller brush Anutone Stick W onbackside of surfacer material (batch # side), thinly, evenly, entirely. Place waste cloth on floor before this operation.
• Allow some time for tackiness to develop and then hangdrop the surface wall covering.
• Before hanging the balance surfacers you must ensurethe first butt joint is flush tight and no gaps appear as withall joints of surfacer. You must also ensure matching ofpattern/weave/grain or adjust vertically accordingly.
• Surfacer edges must not overlap at the joints nor mustthere remain any gap between their edges.
• Use a blind roller or plastic spatula on the surfacersideways towards the butt joints taking care in removingair bubbles, if any. Then roll the entire surface down.
• Any adhesive spills or surfacer contamination must becleaned immediately.
• For Anutone PixelSmery, apply base primer coat and finishwith 2 coats of paint. Estimated consumption is 350-500g/m2.
• Please note prior to painting Anutone PixelSmery, no puttywork etc is to be done.
• The job must be progressively checked for any variations incolour or appearance and informed to Anutone immediately.
