Back-to-School 2020Plan for elementary and secondary learning
Dear 622 Families,
Thank you for your patience and continued feedback as we finalize our back-to-school plans. Based on guidance from the Minnesota Departments of Education and Health, along with feedback from families and staff, we have decided to temporarily begin our school year in distance (online) learning. With this, we are pleased to announce that this year, every 622 student will receive a district-issued technology device. During the first weeks of school, we will be supporting our families in connecting with our learning platforms (Seesaw for elementary & Schoology for secondary). All K-12 students will begin school on August 31.
Beginning week 3 (September 14) our elementary students will transition to a hybrid model where students will come to school in person two days each week. Our secondary students (grades 6-12) will begin with the hybrid model at the start of week 5 (September 28). Please note all families have the option to choose full-time distance learning instead of hybrid learning.
Student and staff safety is our top priority. As public health data evolves, our plans could change. Please visit www.isd622.org/backtoschool for continued information in the coming days and weeks.
Sincerely,Christine Tucci OsorioSuperintendent
