1 / GENERAL CLAUSES

01.01 The present regulations are of a general nature and are applicable to all commercial events organised by members of the Federation. Will be defined as commercial events all events listed under article R762-4 of the (French) Code of Commerce. Each commercial event is independent of preceding or following events and is a unique event defined by its name, venue, date and a presentation of the services offered to the public, commonly referred to under the term ‘nomenclature’. The present regulations, may be, if necessary, completed by regulations specific to each event or by ‘Guidelines’ or a ‘Handbook for Exhibitors.’The term ‘specific regulations’ refers to the clauses specifically applicable to the event concerned, which complete the general regulations of commercial events. On no account may the specific regulations contradict the General Regulations. These may, if necessary, be completed by regulations specific to each event or by ‘Guidelines’ or a ‘Handbook for Exhibitors’. The term ‘Guidelines’ or ‘Handbook for Exhibitors’ refers to the document handed to, sent to or made available on the Internet by the organiser when the potential exhibitor applies for participation. It contains information concerning the event, the rules and regulations, order forms for booking services and any other relevant information connected with participation in the commercial event for exhibitors. All its clauses are to be applied and respected by exhibitors. The term ‘stand’ refers to the space occupied with the aim of presenting products or services or space used to welcome clients or colleagues. The term ‘Catalogue of the commercial event’ refers to the digital or paper document giving the list of exhibitors, their contact details, stand numbers and any other information relevant to the commercial event.‘In the event of any doubts concerning a given definition, please refer to the document ISO 25639-1 on International Standards – Terminology for fairs, exhibitions, conferences and commercial events.’The fact of signing the application for participation implies acceptance by exhibitors of all the clauses, as well as those that might be made necessary through specific circumstances or new occurrences. In addition, they commit themselves to respecting the current legal and regulatory obligations, notably legislation concerning working and regulations conditions and safety.01.02 The organiser will define the venue, duration, opening and closing times of the event, the price of stands, entry fees, as well as the closing date for registrations. He alone may define the category of persons or companies accepted as exhibitors and/or visitors to the event, as well as the nomenclature of the products or services presented.

2/ APPLICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE AND PERMISSION TO EXHIBIT

02.01 Applications to exhibit are to be submitted on the form drawn up by the organiser, transmitted as a paper of electronic copy. Neither a request for the application form, nor the fact of submitting the latter, nor the fact of cashing in payment, may be considered as permission to participate.02.02 The organiser examines applications to participate and decides on acceptance. Acceptance becomes firm only after confirmation in writing.02.03 The organiser alone is judge of the definition and organisation of the offer of the commercial event. The organiser (or the selection committee) therefore reserves the right to reject, whether provisionally or finally, any application to participate which may not satisfy the required conditions, either in respect of elements of the application form, or in respect of the general regulations for commercial events and/or the specific regulations or the nomenclature of the event, or as regards Public Order or protection of certain interests. 02.04 Other reasons for refusal, either provisional or final, may be incom-plete transmission of required information, failure to pay fees or guarantees required by the organiser, failure to previously comply with obligations and notably to respect the present General Regulations, the applicant’s products or services not complying with the object, spirit or image of the event, the exhibitor being in the hands of a receiver, or being insolvent, failure to obtain the appropriate administrative or legal authorisations necessary to his or her participation, risk that his or her present may harm the protected interests of consumers and young people and more generally Public Order, as well as risk of disturbing the peace of the other exhibitors or the security and the enjoyment of visitors. 02.05 The exhibitor must communicate to the organiser any elements or events occurring or coming to his or her notice since his application to participate, the nature of which will justify a new examination of his or her application to participate, in application of articles 02.03 and 02.04 of the present regulations.02.06 In addition, the organiser reserves the right at any moment to request further information concerning the above and, if necessary, reverse the de-cision concerning participation, decision taken on the basis of dishonest or erroneous information or that has since become inexact. The organiser will then have the right to retain the deposit paid and to request payment of the total amount of the registration fee.02.07 Authorisation to participate is personnel and non transferable. Ac-ceptance opens no right of admission to any other event held by the or-ganiser.02.08 Unless permission to do so is granted by the organiser following a specific request made, groups may not exhibit at collective stands unless each company making up the group has been individually accepted and has committed itself to paying the registration fees.

3 / REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION FEES03.01 Applications to participate which do not include the first payment, as defined by the organiser, will be immediately refused. Application fees or registration fees may be retained by the organiser, whether or not the application to participate is finally accepted.

03.03 The total amount of the participation fees for the event will become irrevocably acquired by the organiser after acceptance to participate has been communicated to the exhibitor in writing. Failure to settle the balance on the stipulated deadline or failure to settle one of the payments on the sti-pulated date will lead to withdrawal of the permission to exhibit, the amount or amounts already paid being irrevocably acquired by the organiser, without any formal notification having to be issued.03.03 In addition, the organiser reserves the right to request payment of the balance of the fees to be paid, despite failure to participate, for whatever reason, by the exhibitor whose participation has been accepted. In the event of an exhibitor not occupying his or her stand on the opening day of the event, for whatever reason, or on the deadline for installation fixed by the organiser, he or she will be considered to have renounced his or her right to participate. Without prejudice to all the other measures taken, the organiser may dispose of the stand of the absent exhibitor, without the latter having the right to claim any reimbursement or compensation, even if the stand is subsequently rented to another exhibitor.03.04 The specific regulations for each event may define the means and conditions by which the exhibitor whose application has been finally accep-ted may, if the case arises, withdraw his or her application.

4 / ALLOCATION OF POSTIONS OF STANDS04.01 The organiser draws up the plan of the stands for the event and decides on the position of each. 04.02 The organiser or the selection committee may, in application of the specific regulations for each event, define the maximum area to be occupied by each type of activity or service offered and/or the maximum number of exhibitors. Acceptance of application to participate by each exhibitor will therefore depend on spaces remaining in the sector of activity considered at the time of application to participate. In order to take into consideration the specific characteristics of each type of event, and in consideration of the objective elements applicable indifferently to each exhibitor, the organiser reserves the right to modify the balance initially set out.04.03 Unless stated otherwise by the organiser or by the selection committee, acceptance to exhibit does not confer the right to occupy any specific position. The fact of having participated in previous events does not constitute the right for an exhibitor to occupy a specific position.04.04 When distributing spaces and positions, the organiser or the selection committee will do their best to take into consideration exhibitors’ wishes, the nature and the interest of the articles and services proposed, and the position of the stand they plan to install.04.05 The plans communicated and the distribution of spaces will include, if the venue for the exhibition lends itself to it, dimensions that will be as precise as possible, indicating the places and types of the entertainments to be held during the commercial event. The exhibitor, informed by the organiser of the advantages as well as of the possible drawbacks of his or her stand being placed close to entertainments, and in the absence of any complaint being expressed before the event, will be considered to have accepted the possible constraints and to have renounced all possible action to be taken against the organiser, linked to his or her direct environment of which he or she was not previously informed.04.06 Both before or during the event, in the event of absolute necessity and any time he considers it to be in the interests of the event and without having to previously inform the exhibitor, the organiser reserves the right to modify : the general and specific decoration and the opening times, the program of entertainments, providing this does not substantially modify the initial contract signed between the organiser and the exhibitor. In the event of the above-mentioned contract being substantially modified, the organiser must do his best to find a solution acceptable to the exhibitor.

5/ PUTTING UP, INSTALLATION AND CONFORMITY OF STANDS05.01 The ‘Guidelines’ of ‘Handbook for Exhibitors’, specific to each event, as defined under article 01.01, sets out, amongst other things, the deadline, before the opening of the exhibition, for exhibitors to organise their stand and set out what will be needed during the event. 05.02 During the period of installation, the exhibitor must respect the ‘pro-fessional charter for hygiene and safety of staff in a situation of coactivity during operations of installation and dismantling of commercial events’, drawn up by the FSCEF (Fairs, Exhibitions, Conferences and Events in France) and adopted by the general assembly held on 2nd July 2010.05.03 The exhibitor must comply with the instructions given by the organiser concerning control of goods coming in and leaving, notably in respect of vehicles driven inside the exhibition centre.05.04 Exhibitors or their staff must have completed their installation on the dates and at the times indicated by the organiser. After theses dates and times, any wrapping, material, transport vehicle or external staff may no longer have access to, be maintained or remain on the exhibition site, for whatever reason or whatever harm this might cause to the exhibitor.05.05 Each exhibitor or his or her staff will be responsible for the transport, reception and sending of parcels and other elements to be transmitted, as well as the for the acceptance of the contents of the above. All parcels or other elements sent must be opened and unwrapped on arrival. If exhibitors or their staff are not present at the time of arrival, in view of the responsibility entailed, the organiser will refuse the parcel or other elements destined for the exhibitor in his or her absence, unless a contract has been signed to the contrary. The exhibitor may not claim any damages in compensation, for refusal to receive a parcel or other element.05.06 Installation of stands must in no circumstances damage or modify the permanent installation of the exhibition site and must not disturb or threaten the security or safety of the other exhibitors or of visitors. The exhibitor will have to pay for any damage caused. With this in mind, exhibitors must take out insurance to cover damage.05.07 Specific decoration of stands is carried out by each exhibitor and is his or her responsibility. It must be in harmony with the general decoration

of the event. It must interfere neither with the visibility of the information boards and safety equipment, nor the visibility of neighbouring stands and must not be contrary to possible provisions of the specific regulations of the organiser or of the venue and/or the ‘Guidelines’ or ‘Handbook for Exhibitors’.05.08 Within the exhibition spaces, all materials used, including wall-hangings or carpets, must comply with current regulations. At any time, the organiser reserves the right to request of the exhibitor the removal or destruction of any materials or installations that do not comply with the latter, at the charge of the exhibitor.05.09 At his own initiative or at the request of an exhibitor suffering prejudice before the opening of or during the event, the organiser reserves the right to request the removal or modification of any installations that harm the general aspect of the event, that disturb neighbouring exhibitors or visitors or that do not conform to the plan or projects previously submitted. The organiser will take into consideration each situation at hand and his only obligation is that of means, if he decides to take action following the complaint made by an exhibitor.05.10 The exhibitor, or any person duly given the power to represent the latter, must be present at his or her stand during inspection by the services responsible for safety and security and must, throughout the event, respect safety and security measures applied by public bodies, the safety and security measures taken by the organiser or the manager of the site and the ‘profes-sional charter for hygiene and safety of staff in a situation of coactivity during operations of installation and dismantling of commercial events’

6/ OCUPATION AND USE OF STANDS06.01 It is formally prohibited for exhibitors participating in the commercial event to sell, sublet or exchange, either free of charge or for a fee, all or part of the stand or site allocated by the organiser. 06.02 Unless previously authorised in writing, the exhibitor may not present at his or her stand or site materials, products or services other than those listed in the application form to participate and those that correspond the no-menclature of the products or services established by the organiser. Unless precisely stated to the contrary, the presentation and offer of second-hand goods are strictly prohibited.06.03 The exhibitor may not advertise, in whatever manner - given that holding a stand is not a form of advertising- for a practitioner or an establishment that is part of a profession controlled by an official national professional body that limits advertising.06.04 The state of stands must be irreproachable throughout the event. Cleaning of stands, coming under the responsibility of the exhibitor, must be carried out each day and must be finished before opening to the public.06.05 Renting of a stand does not constitute a storage contract. In the event of theft on a stand, the exhibitor may not claim compensation from the organiser.06.06 Exhibitors may not clear their stand or remove articles before the end of the event, even if the latter is prolonged. The specific regulations drawn up by the organiser may complete this clause through a policy of deposits.06.07 Loose wrappings, covers used during closing times, objects not used for the presentation of a stand and staff clothing must be placed out of sight of visitors. On the other hand, it is prohibited to leave exhibited objects covered up during exhibition opening times. The organiser reserves the right to remove any covering, without in any way being liable for resulting damage or loss.16.08 Failure to comply with one of the above clauses will be the object of a written report by the organiser, on the basis of which he will, notably, be justified in refusing the exhibitor’s participation in future events.

7/ ACCESS TO THE EVENT07.01 No-one may be admitted to the exhibition site without presenting an access document (badge) issued or accepted by the organiser. 07.02 The organiser reserves the right to refuse access or to turn out any person, visitor or exhibitor, whose presence or behaviour might threaten the security, calm or image of the event, and/or the integrity of the site.07.03 Sale and tasting of alcohol are authorised, except to minors under the age of 18 and on condition that legislation is applied. 07.04 Smoking inside the establishment, which welcomes members of the pu-blic, is strictly prohibited, with the exception of zones specifically set aside for smoking.Any person who smokes outside the smoking zones will be liable to a fine of 68 Euros (class 3 offence). Any person failing to set up the standards applicable to reserved areas or the relevant signs, will be liable to a fine of 135 Euros (class 4 offence)Any person knowingly encouraging the non-respect of the non-smoking regula-tions will also be liable to a class 4 fine, but not a fixed sum, as this offence must be the object of a written report transmitted to the public prosecutor, who will decide whether to apply legal sanctions.07.05 Badges, giving right of access to the event, are, in the conditions deter-mined by the organiser, issued to exhibitors.07.06 Badges for persons or companies that exhibitors wish to invite are, in condi-tions defined by the organiser, issued to exhibitors. Unused badges will be neither taken back, nor reimbursed, nor exchanged.07.07 The distribution and/or sale of badges issued by the organiser, whether free of charge or otherwise, by any exhibitor wishing to make a profit, is strictly prohibited. Any person responsible for the reproduction or sale of such badges will be liable to legal proceedings.

08.01 Exhibitors and their staff must be well dressed and behave perfectly correctly towards all persons present : visitors (neither calling out to clients nor approaching them outside the perimeter of the stand), other exhibitors, organisers, security staff, hostesses and other service providers.Any failure to comply with this provision will be the object of a written report, on the basis of which it will be, notably, justified to refuse the exhibitor permission to participate in future events.08.02 The stand must be occupied permanently by the exhibitor or his or her representative during opening times for exhibitors (including setting up, delivery and dismantling) and at all times during official opening times for visitors.Possible failure to comply with this provision will be the object of a written report, on the basis of which it will be, notably, justified to refuse the exhibitor permission to participate in future events.08.03 The organiser has exclusive rights to draw up, publish and distribute, free of charge or for a fee, the catalogue of the event. He may transfer all or part of this right, as well as that of the advertising included in the catalogue. The information needed for the publication of the catalogue will be submitted by the exhibitors at their own responsibility and by the deadline indicated by the organiser, failing which the exhibitor will not be included.08.04 The organiser may, without specific authorisation from the exhibitor, include the trade name of the latter on information supports, notably in the catalogue for exhibitors/visitors or on his Website. If the organiser wishes to publish the exhibitor’s personal details, transmitted at application, on any information supports, he will previously inform the latter. On the other hand, at the time of application, the organiser will ask the exhibitor his authorisation to use his or her image (sign, logo, products or services, photograph of stand), and his name for advertising and promoting the commercial event in any publicity support or document. Having given his or her authorisation, the exhibitor is considered to have obtained the authorisation of his or her staff and/or subcontractors for the possible use of their image by the organiser during the commercial event. In the event of authorisation, the organiser, the producer and distributor decline responsibility for the dissemination of his or her image, stand, sign, brand, staff, products or services, for the needs of the event, in France or abroad, on television, using video or other supports, including virtual (books or brochures).08.05 The organiser reserves the exclusive right to put up signs or posters within the exhibition site. Within the perimeter of his or her stand, the exhibitor may therefore use only posters and signs of his or her company and that he or she communicated on applying to participate in the event, to the exclusion of all others and in respect of the obligations regarding the general decoration.Posters or signs that do not comply with this clause may be removed by the organiser.08.06 Brochures, catalogues leaflets or objects of any kind, may only be distributed by exhibitors at their stand. No leaflet concerning products, brands or services that are not exhibited may be distributed without the organiser’s written authorisation.08.07 The distribution or sale of newspapers, magazines, leaflets, lottery tickets, badges, participation coupons, even for a charity organisation and questionnaires for surveys are not permitted within the exhibition site or in its vicinity without the organiser’s specific authorisation.08.08 All publicity involving lights or sound and all entertainments, shows or demonstrations likely to gather a crowd in the aisles must be the object of the previous authorisation of the organiser, who may cancel the authorisation pre-viously granted in the event of disturbance to circulation, to neighbouring stands or the event in general.08.09 Promotion of products or services by calling out and soliciting, in whatever manner, are formally prohibited. Exhibitors may under no circumstances obstruct the aisles or encroach upon them, unless they have previously obtained the orga-niser’s specific authorisation.08.10 Exhibitors must take scrupulous care to faithfully inform the public concerning the quality, price, conditions of sale and guarantees in relation to their products or services, without omission, objectively and in respect of regulations. They may not carry out any advertising or other action likely to induce errors or be considered as unfair competition.Exhibitors are informed that purchases made at the commercial event do not come under articles L310-11 and L311-15 of the (French) consumer code (7-day wit-hdrawal period), with the exception of those bought on credit and those made as a result of a personal invitation to visit a stand where they will be given a free gift.Any exhibitor found to have claimed the contrary may be the object of sanctions taken by the organiser, which may involve closure of the stand.08.11 Exhibitors commit themselves to presenting only the products, services or materials that respect French or European regulations. They take entire responsi-bility for their products in respect of third parties and the organiser declines all liability in the event of an exhibitor’s failure to respect any law.08.12 It is the exhibitor’s task to carry out the formalities necessary for his or her participation in the event, each time this turns out to be necessary, notably in respect of labour regulations, Customs regulations for materials or products imported from abroad and hygiene for food products or animals.

9/ ‘INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY’ AND USE OR TRADING RIGHTS

09.01 In accordance with the fight against counterfeiting, voted by the General Assembly of the FSCEF in July 2008, any exhibitor wishing to take administrative or legal action against a competing exhibitor for counterfeiting commits himself or herself to previously informing the organiser of the commercial event or his official representative, to acting loyally and in good faith.09.02 Exhibitors must aim at protecting intellectual property and the right to use or sell the materials, products and services exhibited (patents, brands, models etc.), in application of current laws and regulations. Such measures must be taken before presentation of materials, products or services ad the organiser declines all liability in this respect, notably in the event of a dispute with another exhibitor or with a visitor.09.03 Each exhibitor must aim at respecting his or her obligations with the SACEM (French musicians’ union), if he or she uses music on his or her stand or during specific entertainment events for his or her products or services, even for simple demonstrations of sound equipment and the organiser declines all responsibility in this respect.

09.04 Unless specific arrangements have been made or authorisation has previously been granted by the organiser, taking pictures (photographs or films) other than those specific to the exhibitor’s stand, is not authorised within the exhibition site. Accreditation is equivalent to written authorisation to take pictures, on condition that the right to use personal image by a third party is respected.09.05 Photographing certain objects on stands may be prohibited, at the request and at the liberty of the exhibitor.

10/ INSURANCE10.01 In addition to the insurance covering objects exhibited and more generally all moveable objects belonging to him or her, the exhibitor is under the obligation to take out, at his or her own charge, all insurance policies covering risks that he or she and his or her staff are exposed to, either with his or her own insurance company or with the insurance company approved by the organiser. As soon as he or she received confirmation of registration, her or she must provide proof that a policy has been taken out, by producing a written document. The organiser is reputed to decline all responsibility, notably in the event of loss, theft or damage of any kind.10.02 The organiser may, if necessary, demand that the exhibitor takes out insurance policies exclusively subscribed with an insurance company indicated by the former, the clauses and tariffs of which will be indicated.

11/ DISMANTLING OF STANDS AT THE END OF THE COMMERCIAL EVENT

11.01 The exhibitor or his or her representative must be present at his or her stand from the start of the process of dismantling and until complete removal of the elements of the stand.11.02 During dismantling, the exhibitor must respect the ‘professional charter for the hygiene and safety of staff in a situation of coactivity during installation and dismantling operations for commercial events,’ drawn up by the FSCEF.11.03 Removal of stands, goods, articles and specific decorations, as well as residual waste of materials that were used to decorate stands, must be carried out by exhi-bitors within the deadlines and times defined by the organiser, in accordance with the laws, regulations and local practices concerning waste. After the deadline, the exhibitor will be responsible for paying any charges incurred through failure to follow the relevant instructions. In addition, the organiser may have the objects removed and placed into a storage depot of his choice, at the exhibitor’s charge and own risk, and the organiser declines all responsibility for total or partial damage or loss. 11.04 Exhibitors must leave the position, decoration and materials placed at their disposal in the same condition as that in which they found them. Any damage caused to the material, building or the space occupied by their installation or goods, will be charged to the exhibitor after presentation of the justifying documents.

12/ PREJUDICE12.01 The term prejudice refers to ‘material or moral damage caused to a person by a third party.’During a commercial event, prejudice likely to be caused may be :

- Between exhibitors- Between exhibitors and the organisers- Between the organisers and exhibitors - Between the organisers and clients.

12.02 When prejudice is caused to an exhibitor by another exhibitor, both should, as far as possible, attempt to resolve the conflict amicably. The organiser must be informed of the conflict but has no obligation to act as conciliator or arbitrator. His role is to make sure that the clauses of the contract between himself and the exhibitor have been complied with. If one of the exhibitors decides to apply to an authority in an attempt to resolve the conflict, his or her duty s to inform the organiser, in order to preserve the best possible image of the commercial event. 12.03 When prejudice is caused by a conflict between an organiser and an exhibitor, affecting an exhibitor, the exhibitor must address a written request to the organiser. The organiser must respond to the request as quickly as possible, providing the request is legitimate and justified and his sole obligation is that of means. 12.04 When the prejudice is caused by an exhibitor and affects the organiser, the latter will issue official notification fro the exhibitor to cease the action causing the prejudice. Any possible failure to comply with this clause will be the object of a written report by the organiser and will justify refusal to accept the exhibitor’s application to participate in future events.12.05 The organiser has the obligation to communicate general information concer-ning the commercial event.12.06 The organiser should not be involved in any conflict which might arise between an exhibitor and a client and may under no circumstances be held responsible for conflicts that may arise between exhibitor and visitors.

13/ MISCELLANEOUS13.01 The organiser may cancel or postpone the event if he considers the number of registrations to be insufficient. The deposit or registration fee will then be returned to exhibitors. Until the closing date for registrations, exhibitors accept total responsibility for risks caused by the cancellation of the event and notably the sole responsibility for any costs incurred in advance of the event.13.02 The organiser may also cancel or postpone the event in cases of absolute necessity. Absolute necessity, justifying cancellation or postponement of the event at any time are all new situations of a sanitary, climatic, economic, political or social character, outside the organiser’s control and occurring at a local, national or international level, that he could not reasonably have foreseen at the time exhi-bitors were informed of the event and that renders holding of the event impossible or that involves a risk of troubles or disorder likely to seriously harm the correct organisation of the event or that threatens the safety of goods or persons. The possible postponement of the event and/or provisions concerning amounts already paid are set out in the specific regulations issued by each organiser.13.03 Any failure to comply with the present regulations, the specific regulations that complete the latter or the clauses of the ‘Guide’ or ‘Handbook for Exhibitors’ issued by the organiser may justify closing the stand of the exhibitor concerned, if necessary with the help of the police.

13.04 In the above situation, the sums paid for participation by the exhibitor will be retained by the organiser, without prejudice of payment of the balance, all other amounts due and any charges incurred in relation to closing the stand. The organiser reserves the right to take legal action against the exhibitor concerned for compensation for the prejudice caused.13.05 However well-founded, complains made by an exhibitor against another exhibitor or the organiser will be discussed away from the event and must not, under any circumstances, disturb the order or the image of the event.13.06 The exhibitor may not have recourse to the courts before previously having applied for an amicable resolution of the conflict by the organiser.13.07 In the event of legal action, in principle, it is the jurisdiction of the locality of the commercial event alone that is considered competent. Exceptionally, if the commercial event organised by a company having its head office in France takes place abroad, the jurisdiction considered competent will be that of the head office of the organiser.13.08 Possible difficulties of interpretation of the English, German, Spanish, Italian and Chinese versions of the present General Regulations will be resolved with reference to the French version.

Promotion of the competition takes place 10 days before the event (visual image of the prize + partner’s logo), and once a prize has been won (partner’s name). A detailed description of the

competition is transmitted to the exhibitor immediately after recep-tion of his or her application to participate in the competition. The competition is open for prizes of a minimum value of 1000€ (selling price to public).

Each power-box contains a cir-cuit-breaker with fuses, a differential switch, as well as 3 16A sockets.Any electrical installation in addition to these sockets will be at the charge of the exhibitor. Each socket is ear-thed. It is prohibited to use the earth connection or any metal object as an active conductor (see order from).

ACCESS AND REPAIRS

SAFETY SLINGS AND WORKING ABOVE GROUNDPREAMBLE

For security reasons (heavy weights, electric current etc.), any hooking up of elements from beams or contact points of Exhibition Centre structures, of whatever kind, will be carried out by NORDEV using a single approved subcontractor alone. The exhibitor must arrange for elements (decoration, lighting etc.) to be hooked up to the ends of safety slings in accordance with the instructions of the latter, within limits of authorised weight.

SAFETY SLINGS AND WORKING ABOVE GROUND - REMINDER OF RULES Companies may work above ground using scaffolding or mobile platforms. Legal regulations concerning working above ground must be respected.Supply of structures such as scaffolding, decks, work platforms, by a company in charge of installation, implies respect of safety regulations and presentation of all necessary reports for reception, testing and checking.During use or re-use, scaffolding must be examined to check their condition and respect of standards :• Following any defect, whether or not an accident was caused ;• After any exceptional effort or incident which may have caused a weakness ;• After dismantling, modification or replacement of one or several elements.

Dates and results of checks, as well as the name and position of any person carrying these out, must be recorded in the ‘security register’.

HOOKING UP TO BEAMS• Each hooking point (1 sling/m2) can support up to 80 kg (Hall A, B and D).• In general, hooks are attached with a margin of 1m on ground level and 10cm above ground, depending on the hall and the weight

to be hooked up.• The price includes setting up the slings, with a loop for use by the exhibitor, as well as dismantling of the sling at the end

of the exhibition.• No hooking up to the beams may be carried out by the exhibitor, his or her staff or subcontractors.• All slings will be placed by NORDEV or an approved subcontractor.• Slings remain the property of NORDEV and any damage by the latter noted by the latter after dismantling will be invoiced

to the exhibitor.

The organiser will request of the head of security or a member of his staff to check that the exhibitor’s method of hooking up to the slings respects regulations. In case of any doubts, NORDEV will request a check by a security expert bureau, at the charge of the exhibitor. (Retained from the deposit, in the event of failure to pay).

ELEMENTS TO BE SUBMITTEDTOUTE COMMANDE D’ELINGAGE DOIT COMPORTER LES ELEMENTS SUIVANTS :

The plan or diagram of the installation :• Position of slings in relation to limits of stand.• Height of hooks in relation to floor.• Weight to be supported by each sling.

La Fiche Technique et le descriptif de(s) éléments(s) à suspendre :• The total weight of each object (platform, signs etc.)• The hooking-up points (link between the sling and the object).• The report of respect of standards of the object to be suspended, as well as all the other elements

to be installed above ground (platform, motor, lighting).

The file of the person in charge of installation :

• Technical file and report of control of the basket.• Identity document and professional certification of the person carrying out the installation.• Authorisation issued by NORDEV, after approval of the rules to be respected by the person carrying out the installation.

IMPORTANT : Certain places in the exhibition centre do not allow safety slings. NORDEV reserves the right to refuse any slings considered to be unacceptable in terms of weight or design to be fixed to its beams. Installation of slings does not include hooking, or hooking of exhibition material to slings, or its dismantling. This must be carried out by the exhibitor and his or her subcontractors. On condition of feasibility, any displacement of slings already in place will be invoiced depending on the complexity of the operation. (Booking of additional slings). All unofficial hanging, fixing of structures will be object of penalties depending on the number of unofficial slings placed, multiplied by the unit cost of installation of late sling. (= +50%)

For exemple : 10 unofficial slings : 1.5 x (10 x 107) = 1,606.50 €. This penalty will be automatically retained from the deposit following a written report by NORDEV. This penalty does not remove the right of NORDEV to request for damages to be paid.
