What do seeds do?o are the way that plants make other plants just like them

CLASSIFYING TREES

• There are two main types of trees:• DECIDOUOS trees lose their leaves in

autumn and winter.• EVERGREEN trees keep their leaves

during all seasons.

Cycle of a decidouos treeSPRING:

New leaves start to grow.

SUMMER:The tree has leaves, fruit and seeds.

AUTUMN:Leaves change colour and fall.

WINTER:The tree has no leaves.

LIFE IN WOODS AND FORESTS

• Woods and forests are beautiful places for everyone to enjoy.

• They are home to many animals and plants.

• Trees are very important for the enviroment.

• They give us food and oxygen.

PLANT REPRODUCTION• Many plants produce seeds inside the

flowers.• Fruits form around the seeds to protect

them, and they can be hard or soft.

FLOWERING AND NON FLOWERING PLANTS

Most plants are flowering plants.These plants produce different types of seeds.

Non flowering plants, like ferns and mosses, do no produce seeds, they use SPORES to reproduce

FERNS AND MOSSES

Ferns have spores which are like small brown spots under their leaves.

Mosses reproduce with spores that grow inside capsules.
