Raw Materials & ProductsEthylene oxide cracked and oxidized from petroleum and fatty acid and fatty alcohol extracted from petroleum are the most important raw materials of the production line of ethylene oxide ramification (mainly renewable resources). The most important raw material ethylene oxide is delivered to the factory via pipeline. This improves safety and assures consistent supply.
The products we produce are manufactured for industrial customers and further processed within Clariant. Our customers' main areas of application are agriculture, lurbricants, construction, coatings, cosmetics, body care and cleaning agents for industrial and consumer use.

The business unit Industrial & Consumer Specialties (ICS) is one of the largest providers of specialty chemicals and application solutions for consumer care and industrial markets. Currently, there are two sites under ICS located in Zhenjiang and Huizhou (Daya Bay) of China.
Clariant Chemicals (Huizhou) Ltd. was founded in 2009 and is the first ethylene oxide derivative factory invested by Clariant in China. The high-end polyethylene glycol products manufactured by the factory are widely applied in the pharmaceutical industry and the cosmetic industry. Leveraging the green raw chemical material of castor oil, the Emulsogen EL series, which includes products such as EL 360 and EL 400, is manufactured mainly for the agricultural industry. By taking advantage of advanced technological processes and manufacturing equipment as well as successful experience in Germany, Spain, United States and other regions, the factory provides high-quality chemical products for domestic and international market.
