Plants need to eat food too! The way that plants eat is through photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis uses three things…the sun, water, and carbon dioxide (air).

The sunlight comes and hits the leaves, the air comes in through little holes in the plant and the water comes up from the roots. These all mix together with chlorophyll to make the food (sugar or glucose) for the plant to eat!
