Gyprock Aquachek - specifically designed for use as a lining in wet areas, this board is manufactured with a treated core, face and back to make it resistant to moisture and humidity without compromising integrity.

Aquachek 10mm is predominantly used for walls and ceilings in wet area installations, where door frames and window reveals are generally designed for a 10mm internal lining.

Aquachek 13mm is generally used for wet area walls in environments where a more robust lining is desired.

Gyprock Soundchek - is a high density gypsum plasterboard with increased noise absorption properties for residential and commercial walls and ceilings where superior acoustic resistance is required. Soundchek provides effective airborne noise and impact noise insulation.

Soundchek 10mm is predominantly used for walls and ceilings in standard installations, where door frames and window reveals are generally designed for a 10mm internal lining.

Soundchek 13mm is generally used for acoustic walls in commercial construction where an acoustic rated system is specified.

Gyprock Impactchek 13mm – has a reinforced core which creates a high strength plasterboard designed for walls in high impact areas. Gyprock Impactchek effectively reduces the damage caused by soft and hard body impact. The heavy duty lining paper provides a more scuff resistant surface, making this plasterboard ideal for high traffic areas. Impactchek is also a fire and acoustic grade board and can be used in high impact areas where acoustic separation or a fire rated systems is specified.

Gyprock Fyrchek - is a fire and acoustic grade board with a specially processed glass fibre-reinforced gypsum core for use in fire rated wall and ceiling systems and where improved acoustic performance is required. Gyprock Fyrchek is not suitable where it would be in contact with water or a constant relative humidity above 90%. Gyprock Fyrchek is available in in 13mm and 16mm thickness in 1200mm wide panels of various standard lengths from 2400mm to 3600mm. The long edges are recessed for flush jointing.

Gyprock Fyrchek MR - has a specially processed glass fibre-reinforced gypsum core and is a fire and acoustic grade board with high moisture resistance properties (MR). Gyprock Sensitive – is a 10mm plasterboard treated with a powerful but gentle antifungal agent, which penetrates through the paper liner and paint coating. The core contains a wax emulsion to make it highly resistant to moisture and humidity without compromising integrity and the product is classified as low in volatile organic compounds (VOC), meaning it emits fewer chemicals than the acceptable Australian standard. It is the ideal selection for use throughout the homes of asthma and allergy sufferers.

Contemporary perforation patterns with Activ’Air technology and different open areas to meet most acoustic application requirements. Unlike standard plasterboard, all four edges of Gyptone perforated plasterboards are recessed to make flush jointing quicker and easier with the normal tape and three coat jointing system. This negates the need for butt joints between full panels. Designed for use on ceilings and walls where an increased level of sound attenuation and a high level of aesthetic appeal is required. The panel perforations together with acoustic fabric lining and insulation, where used, reduce echo and noise reverberation to create more comfortable environments for work and leisure.

Standard 6mm Round - is the original board in the Gyprock Perforated Plasterboard range. Its traditional perforated pattern has been extensively used throughout Australia for many years. Standard 6mm Round features six large rectangular groupings per sheet, each with 2,100 x 6mm diameter perforations at 15mm centres to provide an open area of 8.3%. The long edges of the panels are recessed for flush jointing to a smooth, continuous surface.

Gyprock Base Coats - The Gyprock range of standard Base Coats are all products which ‘set’ through a chemical reaction rather than dry through evaporation of water. This results in stronger joints with controlled working times after mixing. Gyprock Base Coats help to create a superior strength joint in conjunction with jointing tape and provide excellent tape adhesion. The specialist Wet Area Base Coat is a premixed, drying type compound.

Gyprock Base Coat 20 – used for the first and second coat in a three coat plasterboard jointing system. It has a defined working life of approximately 20 minutes after mixing, allowing subsequent coating on the same day. Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration. It is also suitable for patching holes and defects in interior surfaces of plasterboard, fibre cement, timber or masonry.

The longer setting time compared with Gyprock Base Coat 60 and Base Coat 45 allows for the mixing of larger gauges for more extensive projects while still allowing for sanding back and subsequent coating at the end of the day.

Gyprock Ultra-Base 60 – is a premium, lightweight base coat used for the first and second coat in a three coat plasterboard jointing system. The ultra-low shrinkage formulation of Ultra-Base 60 has superior tape adhesion and joint strength for the tape coat and second coat in the jointing process.

Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration. It has a defined working life of approximately 60 minutes after mixing, allowing subsequent coating on the same day.

Gyprock Wet Area Base Coat - is a moisture resistant base compound used for the first and second coat in a three coat plasterboard jointing system in wet areas. Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration. Where walls are to be tiled, no finish coat is required. Wet Area Base Coat is a low VOC, pre-mixed drying type compound, manufactured by Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications and is packed in a violet coloured bucket.

Gyprock offers a range of topping compounds with different weights. Gyprock Ultra-AP - is a premium, lightweight, all-purpose compound available in a pre-mixed form. Ultra-AP is our best all-purpose product for tape adhesion and shrinkage and is easy to sand when used as a top coat. Ultra-AP is a versatile product. It can be used to joint over abutting edges of plasterboard sheets and internal and external corners, and to cover nails or screw heads. It is suitable for use as:

• All three coats

• The second coat (over a Gyprock Base Coat)

• The second and third coat (over a Gyprock Base Coat)

• A top coat when a Gyprock Base Coat has been used for the first and second coats

Gyprock Masonry Adhesive -provides high strength and strong adhesion to plasterboard, masonry and concrete surfaces. Masonry Adhesive is a setting type compound rather than a drying type with a working life of about 40-45 minutes.

Gyprock Back Blocking Cement - is a specially formulated plaster-based cement for reinforcing Gyprock plasterboard joints where there is no framing support. Back blocking is the process of applying a support behind an otherwise unsupported joint. When used as required, this product will minimise the risk of joint cracking or distortion. It has a 2 hour working life.

Gyprock Cornice Cement 45 - is used for fixing Gyprock cornice at wall and ceiling junctions where the substrate is plasterboard or fibre cement. It is also used for finishing cornice joints and mitres and laminating sheets of plasterboard together. Cornice Cement 45 has a 45 minute working life.

Gyprock Wet Area Acrylic Sealant - is a paintable, permanently flexible sealant designed to seal the edges of Gyprock Aquachek against pre-formed shower bases, baths and around plumbing penetrations. It can also be used as a general purpose gap filler, providing mould and mildew resistance.

Gyprock Fire Mastic - is a permanently flexible, water based acrylic sealant for fire resistant caulking of penetrations and joints in masonry and plasterboard. This product provides a neutral paintable surface once cured. As well as fire resistance Gyprock Fire Mastic can be used as an effective acoustic sealant.
