“Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks
down from heaven. The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our
land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before Him and prepares
the way for His steps.” Psalm 85:11-13
WELCOME: In this autumn time of the year, when the nights
are getting chilly and the daylight hours are getting shorter, we
worship together mindful that the season of our life is marching
on. In these days when the crops of harvest stand waiting in
the field, we together worship our Eternal God. Please join us
after the morning service for a time of refreshments in the
Fellowship Hall.
Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher in the foyer during the
offering this morning for Children’s Church.
Please pause for a moment after the morning service to allow
the children to exit for PreK-6th grade Sunday School.
ABOUT OUR MESSAGES
This morning, we begin the fifth and final answer of our series
“SAVED,” which asks, ‘how are you saved?’ Every answer
thus far has dealt with the past, but last of all, the Canons of
Dort turns to the future: God will save all those chosen,
redeemed, convicted and converted. 1 Peter 1:3-9 shows
how “The Certainty of God’s Protection” ought not keep
Christians from becoming complacent.
This evening, Pastor Gary Maas of Harrison Community
Church will be brining a message from Exodus 15:1-21
entitled “A Reason to Sing”. Pastor Gary is here as part of an
area post-classis pulpit exchange.
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
We are praising God for His gift of marriage in the lives
of Clayton and Ashley (Hansum) Vanden Hoek, who were
united in a wedding here yesterday. Lift this couple up in
prayer for patience, joy and continued growth in the grace and
knowledge of Jesus as they begin this journey together.
Remember to remain in prayer for the family of Jolinda Kaemingk, who lost her grandmother, Minnie Mulder, at the age of 107. Memorial services were held this past week in New Holland.
Abby Sybesma's pregnancy continues to be extremely high-risk
both for her own health as well as for the life of her baby girl. You
can see the weekly update on the bulletin board, or log on
to: www.caringbridge.org/visit/abbysybesma and create an
account. Joel, Su and Abby thank you for your support and covet
your continued prayers!
This week, Pastor Drew will be out of town for a study break.
Pray for God to grant him a productive and stretching week! If
you have any pastoral needs, please contact your area elder.
Next Sunday, Rev. Duane Tinklenburg will bring our
messages.
